Hard to predict.  Bruce has a habit of pulling out one of his once-in-every-10-games top performances when his back is against the wall, which both buys him time and, in his mind at least,  entitles him him to take the moral and intellectual (oh the irony) high ground, crow and gloat a bit and humiliate the naysayers with his startlingly astute wit and repartee, not to mention his mindbending economy and tenuous relationship with the truth.  On the other hand he'll try and nick a 0-0, the Jedinak inspired defence will be torn a new one and we'll get mullered 3-0.

Irrespective of the score I really hope this is his last game.

Unless they have something resembling a lamp post as a centre forward there is no reason at all to play Jedinak at CH.

Maybe its got to the point that the more he is told Jedi is the weak link the more arrogant he is and plays him there anyway.

Would be unusual for them to lose 3 on the bounce with the 3rd being a "big game" at home

I am a little fearful

0-2

This tinpot mob have had to change the kick off time because they can't cope with a 23k+ crowd. Only come to see the Villa.

They'll probably still beat us though.

Absolutely. There can’t be any other explanation. Bruce pretty much confirmed this in his radio interview when he mocked those who ever doubted him, following our only clean sheet of the season, at home to the mighty Rotherham.

Leaving work in Exeter at 3, to meet my son who has just started Uni in Bristol. Meeting others from Bournemouth Lions somewhere pre-match. Our most local game in the Championship. UTV

Just seen his quote on the Beeb match preview....

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce told BBC Radio WM:
"We haven't quite got the balance right yet, we've made a lot of mistakes defensively, and we're going to have to be a bit more resilient than we have been at the minute defensively.
"We've tried to be a bit more expansive but for me we're too open at the moment, we haven't quite got the balance correct.
"Fitting into what we did last year is easy for some, but the six that have now joined us will take a bit of time, it's not an excuse, it's the way it is."

From that I take
1. We won't be playing fast open expansive football tonight., so hoping to nick a 1-0
2. The six we have lost is now the six that have joined!!!

Walking past the bookies just now with £1 in my pocket, so I've invested it in Brizzle 1 Villa 3 Abraham first goal @ 100/1

Party round mine from FT onwards

After the terrible defeat vs Sheff W, couldn't even comment on here, so disappointed, I'm going for a solid win today, hammered this lot last time out so 0-3 comfortable Villa win, if we can't do this I expect Bruce never to pass through the doors of Villa park again.
