Maybe Bruce is suffering professionally because of his personal distress at losing his parents. Maybe football doesn't seem very important just now.

I feel for him.
But he has to go. Let him recover and begin again somewhere else.

Nobody is forcing him to carry on.  He seemed relieved enough to still be in a job after that meeting with the new owners.  He could have gone then, or at the end of the season. but didn't.  He now needs booting out immediately, as they should have done in the summer.  What would have been a difficult job then, is doubly hard now the season is underway.

If that's the case, then why hasn't he walked? He's certainly got more than enough money now to have an extremely comfortable life away from football.

In a go again sort of way?

I think we are paying the price of giving him free reign to buy/loan/acquire whichever players take his fancy at any particular time. All without any plan or discernible way of playing.

And because of that we have ended up with a rag tag bunch of (talented) individuals who, on very rare occasions, play as a team but on many more occasions play like the individuals they are.
He (we) then need to rely on one of those individuals having a moment of quality to make something happen.
I think we can all agree that we have only really seen top drawer football from a Villa team managed by Bruce less than a dozen times, and probably only 2 or 3 where it has been for the whole game.

No tactics, no plan, no future.

Apart from the huge amount of money Bruce has spunked since being here, it's as if Barry Fry taught him everything he knew!

He'd easily get a gig at Talksport.

I’ve started two pre match threads ever. This game and Luton away. I’m no longer doing them!

Until the holy trinity of Ads, Damo and Chris Jameson say so, I think he has a chance of staying.

Errr, I said he should have gone end of the season, I was surprised he didn’t.

I can vouch that this is indeed the case. I have a peculiar memory for these things, but I can't remember why I came upstairs to my office.

You were sending me your bank log in details.

If both of you fine fellows furnish me with details of your accounts I will arrange a transfer of funds. NI number and DOB would further facilitate the transaction.

There is a podcast called Athletico Mince by Bob Mortimer and Andy Dawson....

In this they parody something called the "Manager's Club"

Essentially it's all the old school managers on the merry go round picking up their cash for f****g over a football club a tactic (yes it's the only one I think Brucey has) known as Destory and Exit and then lunching on the proceeds! Pardew, McClaren, Allardyce, Hughes, Dowie etc... No mention yet of Bruce.... I expect him to get an airing in the next episode in fact I f*****g insist on it!

Should have been sacked after the play off final as he failed his remit to get promotion and the football was dire for the most part.
Should definitely be sacked tonight. Can't help but feel he's lost the dressing room. I can imagine Adomah being a popular lad in the dressing room and Bruce has probably pissed a lot of them off.
Selling Elphick with no replacement was madness, especially when you're playing a central midfielder who can't run at centre half and don't look like keeping a clean sheet.

Bruce Out

Pissed off players.

Bomb squad: Richards, McCormack.

One year left on contract go away don't want you don't trust you: Clark, Green, Lyden, Elphick, Mooney.

Two years left on contract go away don't want you don't trust you: Gardner, Tshibola.

Forgotten men: Hogan, De Laet. Davis, Bunn.

Players that probably don't give a fuck: Lansbury, Bree, Taylor. Hourihane, Bjarnason.

The Special Fuck Off Got A New Girlfriend Now Award: Adomah.

Maybe half the players employed by the club have no reason whatsoever to do anything more than just turn up to collect their wages.

And maybe Mr Bruce is suffering professionally because he's simply out of his depth.

Great post Ronsshirt.  Not looking too rosy is it?

After 2 years of Bruce the squad is still in a mess. He's built fuck all.

Purslow has a big job ahead
