Adomah has a back injury.

What is more worrying is no Bolasie in the squad. Would have expected him to have been on the bench and given 10 or 15 minutes ... for Hutton of course.

Bolasie was only ever going to be ready to start after the international break.

Why isn’t Adomah in the 18 is this seasons ‘why didn’t Barry take the penalty?’

Can we please give AVFC some positivity ? It’s a far better squad than we could ever have imagined a few weeks ago. It’s our club, we’ve some cracking players in that squad now, if boss doesn’t deliver by xmas I’m sure our ceo/owners will put their stamp on villa

Is that the line-up that's unrecognisable from last week?

Thanks, I didn't appreciate Albert was injured.

What of RDL? Strange for him to be involved given how he was selected and did well pre-season.

Still beggars belief that 3 of the back 4 are out of position in front of a new keeper. Is Bruce that stubborn that he will stick with it to prove people wrong?

Doubt it. Bruce prides himself on not being able to use any form of technology so unlikely to see the comments unless by chance they've also been sent by carrier pigeon.

Adomah has a back injury, Bolasie won't play until after the international break - Bruce said it yesterday in the press conference. Bjarnason played well last week against Reading - why has he been dropped??

The joy of Villa and Bruce's team selections.

Jedinak at centre back ag....oh, I give up.

Sheff United to win, and fans rampaging against the potato.

Come on Villa!

Sorry, but we avoided a nightmare - which we are all grateful for - but I don't see why that means we now have to be happy with whatever is served up.

Bruce played no part in the club's financial position being stabilised, but he is directly responsible for random selections, players out of position, disjointed displays with no discernable plan, limited impact with subs, and the most unbalanced squad I can recall at Villa.

I would think he only played to give Whelan a rest. Both have been effective so far so I'm not too concerned. In fact, it may be one of Bruce's better ideas.

That made me chuckle. Unrecognisable is doing the the same thing over and over again but with a gap between...sometimes

Usual crap team selection we've come to expect from Nan's hair. oh well, another 90 minutes of Kodjia-ball.

So with Abraham Bolasie and Adomah not available who would you have gone for ?

It's unrecognisable from Burton which is surely what Nan'sHair meant?

As Eric Morecambe might have said if he was playing Bruce in a comedy. "I'm playing the right players, just not necessarily in the right order"
