The facts are Villa were maybe the only club he would play for at this level and how we could also afford.

Short term move but understandable at the time .

Bruce would have him in at Wednesday I'm sure but they couldn't afford and he wouldn't go

I like Bruce to take Elmo off us and even Albert providing have a decent replacement or idea to play without Albert loss making too much impact

No chance of AA playing for Bruce again after the way he treated him last summer.

Glenn Whelan maybe, former Sheff Wed player...

Good point.give you that on Albert .
I give you Whelan to see  O'Neill at Forest be nice for them both

Be nice for us as well.

I think it’s more likely he will end up at Palace again.

I can't imagine Bruce will be in for whelan. He was a short-term buy to get us up and even he must realise he''s completely shot now.

Kodjia aside, have we had ONE other successful Francophone player (or manager) in our history? Really strange, seems to be a curse.

There was a moment Saturday when he couldn't out run the full back and it did seem like he'd lost a yard.

Funny decision to make and perhaps he'd made it a few weeks ago. On current form, no loss at all.

thatcherlover on twitter who has been accurate before on signings etc but is staring to become a DS out man has stated that Elphick, Steer and Green going out on loan was to free up the cash for Bolasie's wages so back to square one really now he's gone and they are all back so £70k pw isn't really back in the kitty?

ThatcherLover make a shit up.

Was just going to say that.  Even in the context of Twitter, he is one massive, bullshitting twat.

"Yannick Bolasie is returning to Everton after the player exercised an option to return to his parent club," said a Villa statement.

No need to guess anymore. It's official.

Does it really matter?

It was obvious from some of the comments that people were unsure what had happened. So I posted a link for clarity. It saves people making stuff up. It might even be considered helpful in some quarters.

 ;)

Ah yes, Tuanzebe’s been decent, you’re right.
Others I can think of: Six, Ginola, Djemba-Djemba, Beye, Makoun, Pires, Gueye, Bolasie, Veretout, Amavi, Ayew, Agathe, Cissokho, Gestede, N’Zogbia, Berson, Sylla (managers Houllier and Garde). Some of them good players but not for us.

So no, it doesn't really matter. He's gone, the whys and wherefores aren't really that important unless there's another point you want to be  making.
