Plus, players getting ragged in their play and committing fouls is (in my view) a consequence of their frustration at not having a plan and pattern of play that they can rely on.

For all the plaudits Jack gets this is where he has to do something magic as a top player. And not necessarily at the end of the game. But if we have a man advantage he has to dominate the extra space

Completely agree, this is the difference between an also ran and a player with real talent that can go out and win a game, he needs to show it, now.
