Need Green on for Elmo and switch flanks with Albert. Controlling it but not very dangerous and the sort of game we can lose by giving them too much respect.

Whelan gets pelters on here but at least he tries and gets on the ball even if he’s a bit  shit. Where the feck has Hourihane been and what has he done?

My thoughts exactly.

Puh-leeze

I agree with Fred. He's almost absent.

Hourihane is playing? I missed the first 15 and thought we'd had a man sent off

Kodjia looks very sluggish.

Lazy.  Greedy.  Slow in movement and  thought.  Lacking any kind of team ethic.  A diver and a bit of a coward.

Otherwise ok?

He’s been bloody awful.
You might as well stick him on the left and play somebody else upfront.

Christ you lot, that wasn’t that bad especially considering the trauma we have been through the last few weeks. For the most part we were the better team and we all know now this won’t be our first 11 come 31 Aug. Chill out we are still Aston Villa and we are alive and kicking

Same as last season really the opposition are piss poor.

Instead of taking advantage we manage to dumb down to make them look half decent.

yep that's the thing with Bruce. You get the feeling he spent the entire week on the training ground going through how to stop Hull rather than how to beat them

Sat in a pub in the middle of Devizes, Wiltshire, the only two people who remotely give a fuck about the football are me and the lad. Two fellas sat next to me who watch Luton regularly who are here working have just said.. "How clueless are Villa?" Fucking Luton fans who have seen years of shit recognise how desperate we are. This is anti football, Elhomady, Whelan, Taylor I never want to see in a Villa shirt again, Steer ain't good enough and Kodja and Adomah need to liven up.
Not good enough. Bruce spends all summer playing 3 at the back with Green and does neither tonight. Absolute clown

Perfect summary. Languid style reminds me of Chris Waddle except Waddle could play

I think Whelan has played well. In fact we’ve been the better team.

Get Green on for Taylor, move Hutton to LB, Elmo to RB. Elmo is too wasteful in wide positions. We are moving the ball far too slow, which is the Bruce way I guess.

We were the better side, which doesn't alter that we were pretty crap and created very little.

4-5-1 in disguise . Albert and Elmo too deep . Hourihane nowhere . Jack desperately trying to make something happen but kodjia totally isolated and making no effort . We've learned nothing from last year . Bruce out .
