Whelen is crap. Created the opening at the back for their chance,  slow,  wrong positions. I don't get how he is rated by Bruce

Half time. Well, any optimism that might have been rekindled post-takeover has been well and truly extinguished. Considering we probably won't be able to see the benefits of that (if any) until January at the very earliest this is going to be a loooong season

I can see Bruce again refusing to use more of the younger players. We are so slowly and deliberate. It gives opponents time to adjust and defend in numbers and then hit us on the break where we look like 18 wheelers turning.

Not impressive at all.  I know it's only a friendly etc etc but we seem a very long way off the standard we'll need to be if we're thinking about doing well this season.  Dresden better than us in all departments, and more energetic too.

It's looking very much like we are going to have our arses handed to us on more than one occasion this coming season.  I hate Bruce's idea of football.

He doesn't seem to have any ideas.

What time is the kick off? It says 2pm on Legion's link but a few people on Twitter are saying 1pm.

2pm local, 1pm UK time. Possibly.

Bit misleading really then. It says 'head over to You Tube after 2pm' so whoever does will miss the first half.

They're just assuming that'll be our bad half.

You wasn't wrong.

Come on now. If Bruce gets sacked tomorrow i will throw a party but its a pre-season friendly not the play-off final. It's about getting match fit, no more no less

My summary at half time.  Without Grealish we have zilch creativity, Whelan only has niggle, nothing else, absolute shite.  Thor runs around but has no creativity, our wingers are thick as fuck,  Green always on his heels and crap at crossing.  A week before the season starts and we still have no settled formation.  What the fuck was Steer doing?  Just hoof it.  Cheating lino when Adomah was clearly onside.  It's shit, yet again.  We can only be better in the second half, surely.

Not that old chestnut?
It’s also a time to try new things, look a different players and give some youngsters a chance to stake their claim.

Maybe we just haven’t got any players coming through who are good enough to displace the plodders?

Why are we playing Grealish? We all know he's going so we won't see the benefit of playing him pre-season and we need to be looking at how we're going to playing without him this season.

What if he gets injured? I don't get it.

Haven't seen much of the first half but not impressed with us. Dresden look much sharper in all areas.

It's our last pre-season friendly though isn't it?  And with just over a week to go, I think Bruce will be looking for more than just match fitness.

Other than Kodjia, is there another player likely to come in who we are missing? Other than Hourihane?  Don't say Hogan.  We really are in need of signings.  If Grealish leaves, we will do well to finish half way up the table, especially if Kodjia has a poor season.
