Told ya we would be reet this week. It's a decent deal and plenty to spend WHEN we go up. Don't expect zillions chucked at it now though.
You did indeed Chelts.
Have you shifted from seeing us as too far gone to be able to keep Jack?

No. He is still getting sold but at least we get to keep our trousers on whilst negotiating it.

Do you have inside knowledge on this? How can you be so sure? The potential sales of Chester, Kodja, Jedinak and Bjarnanson could almost equate to the figure we’d get for Jack? Whilst knocking a helluva lot more off the wage bill.
Having Jack in our side will keep us so much more competitive that we just have to look a every viable option to keep him at the club.

Don't get too excited, the investment is a new contract for Gabby.

Just like London buses, so in theory, Xia questionable, it looks like we have 3 billionaires in charge at Villa, on the surface it doesn't get any better, dreading this season, now really looking forward to the next campaign, perhaps Jack can give us another season, see how all this pans out, get some real football people at the club, new management would seem an excellent starting place to me, and quickly, here we go, it's coming home.

I hate to rain on the undoubtedly great parade but I really don’t think this makes a difference to FFP.  Selling Jack and Chester still must be on the cards but what it does mean is that Bruce (or Henry) will have a bit more money to bring replacements in.  I hope they are going to adopt the Fulham model of getting us up.

So-
(Please anyone correct/improve/update this)

We seem to have a clear summary of:

New Rich majority owners.
No immediate plans to jettison Bruce
Jack still needs to be sold to balance the FFP books (as youth product he is pure profit compared to someone we bought, so his £ go further re: FFP)
There is £ to invest now on the playing side.

Finally, penalties of failing to balance the FFP books are *not* just a fine that rich owners can pay, it can include transfer embargo and significant points deductions, so we cannot just ignore it, and time to stop naively hoping we can.

Any potential to invest something in our playing squad now?

Yes.
Can we buy Grealish back from Spurs?

If the Fulham model means getting a tactically-canny management team, bring it on.

Fair enough. And there was me thinking you'd just got off the blower with the new owners.

Co chairmen is a face saver it never works in practice, the majority shareholder will call the shots. All I could ask for now is for Steve Stride to be re-employed now that would set the tone of how the club would be run in future.

Nobody on a fans message board will have insider knowledge of a takeover involving an American, an Egyptian and a Chinaman, all of whom are billionaires.

Stating that we won't be spending vast amounts is not insider info - It is stating the obvious as we are already heavily foul of FFP.

I heard that Spurs were in for Grealish around the time of Wolves at home and that his dad had said at that time that it was likely that he'd join them.  That is not insider info but came from a mate who drinks with Kevin Grealish.  If I heard this, then obviously others would have done so as well.  I'm personally not as convinced as many that Jack is as keen to stay as others have suggested.  Who can blame him?  A 5 year contract worth £15 million plus, CL football, PL football, playing with players who are equal to him in terms of ability and getting into the England squad.  He didn't turn Ireland down so that he could play for Villa in the 2nd tier.

Nobody knows for sure whether Spurs are going to come back if "our trousers haven't been pulled down" unless they have insider info at Spurs as well as Villa.
