Well people wanted clarification on a number of things and that's what they've got.  It'll be interesting to see what happens on the transfer front though.

It will be really interesting on the transfer front?! I'd imagine Di Matteo's decent signings will be gone and our best local player for fifty years too.

Bruce's signings? We'll be stuck with them or paying a percentage of their wages until their contract expires.

I'll give Xia the benefit of the doubt for now, but Bruce gets no such pass, he's had every advantage a manager could hope for.

The one thing that would have been a tiny bit reassuring and more specific to Jack is that while it’s pretty clear we’ll be selling him and others, for Xia to have said we’re not just going to accept any old offers. That we will sell players at their proper market value.

Hence the reason we haven't accepted 'any old offer'.  Xia might have gambled and lost but he's not completely bereft of negotiation skills.

The statement is pretty clear. Sell to buy and lower the wage bill.  Bruce stays but cut anything that isn't tied down.

We have a number of very talented kids and not all of the experienced players will leave. We now have a full season to integrate these kids as opposed to just chucking them in. This is a massive test for Bruce, but he has got promoted with less talent. As shit as this is, compared to a lot of sides in the division we will still be much better off. Warnock got Cardiff up with less than Bruce will start off with. His attitude in trying to win every single game from day one will be crucial. Bleak but not the end of the world.

Well to be honest I found that quite therapeutic. Sure Jack is going and we are going to have to wheel and deal, but we still have a club and sounds like he’s up for a fight.  We all think our great club is one of the top 6 in the country but we all know we have had our ups and downs. And it’s fucking annoying our neighbours can afford our second rate goalkeeper but hey ho we are Aston Villa and they fucking know it!

Not picking a fight, TV, because I generally like the cut of your jib, but the bit that troubles me is that I agree that Warnick (spit) got a shower of shit promoted, but I’m not sure I trust Bruce to do 5he same precisely because he lost out to said shower of shit with quite a good squad.

Bruce in charge for the foreseeable, with vastly lowered expectations. Bright future.

It's not Bright Future. It's The Pride. Where have you been?
I'm not sure if The Engine is before or after.

Well that’s the softening up letter to get you already for the Grealish sale.
Steve Bruce as our manager because he can’t afford the FFP hit.
High on rhetoric, low on detail and nothing on the future Financial stability of the club or how we will deal with FFP.

Selling players, lowering costs, raising revenue.  Perhaps not the massive detail, but it's what he said.

Tony Daley would be a better shout than Walters I reckon.
