Some good comments from Simon Jordan. It dosen't have to be a financial apocalypse if we make some brave calls. Oh and change ownership.

He has strongly hinted in the past that he already has some insider knowledge of what goes on at Villa. He has just gone a step further and said that whilst he has no wish to ever own a club again after his experiences at Palace, there is a possibility he "may have some involvement in a takeover of Villa".

I reckon Tony is clearing the decks of anyone linked to Wyness.

E&S write Matt Maher states Tony decided to sack him and it happened when he tuned up this morning for work.

I have never quite understand his apparent affinity towards us. He always speaks very highly of us whilst often ridiculing our neighbours, .

I think most of it is do with his loathing of the Dildo Brothers.

Its making for sorry reading isn't it. Americans who were looking to bid had Round as their main point of contact and were impressed by him. Shambles.

Wouldn't it be for any new owners to decide who and who not to keep? I don't know, I'm just guessing like everyone else.

This just gets messier and messier, Dr. No might have his reasons and linking Round with Wyness is not a hard link to go together, but we are 4 weeks away from kicking off  and no real Senior Management on both the business side and the football side, if Bruce left now( and I was all for him going after Fulham) but feel we are just not in a position to replace him, who would source the candidates, the fucking tea lady.
Dr. No also needs to realise sales of football clubs do not happen overnight, but it is becoming apparent by the hour, whatever business money this chancer has made must have come from Jack's magic beans.  If this was happening down the Sty oh what fun we would be having.

Is Simon Jordan implying that there is a consortium which he may or may not be part of close to buying the club?

Jesus Christ, see you, you are a fucking omni-shambles, that's what you are. You're like that coffee machine, you know, "From bean to cup, you fuck up."

All I want is Tony to sell up and fuck off.  That's all.

To be honest n our present straightened circumstances, could we really afford or justify Round?

I think being 'close to buying the club' would possibly be an exaggeration, but he has declared a (possible) interest in being involved with any consortium that may be interested in doing so and has strongly hinted that he is aware that there are interested parties. Which suggests to me that he has been in some kind of contact with those interested parties and both desires and thinks he can be a part of the process. My summing up of the information he has 'drip fed' over several weeks via his role on Talksport is that he thinks the Villa financial situation is tricky but solvable and that a takeover will happen sooner rather than later and (I am reading between the lines here) that he knows those who are interested and may himself be involved.

thanks for that. My opinion of Jordan has changed quite a bit recently - he does seem to have a genuine regard for Villa although I guess you could argue that another failed owner is the last thing we need.
