I just put that headline down as the most shit stirring, shit for brains headline i've seen so far in this whole sorry saga. Whoever put that up is a proper c*** in my book. The truth is either that we're not concluding the business because the club is in the process of being sold or we are not concluding it because we need to offload first to balance the wage books, but in itself to not afford something that is free is a contradiction. I suppose it sounds good to the hoards of shit for brains Small Heath, Dog Heads and Olbyiun though.

They aren't free as you pay a signing on fee and wages. Huth for 2 years as an example, would most likely be £2-3m, not much in football terms, but a fair chunk for a second division club with little spare cash. Doesn't mean the headline is true mind.

An 'executive board' addressing a letter as 'Dear Tony'. It's all a bit informal.

That jumped out to me.

Huth - who did he actually play last season for Leicester as he was always injured?

would be a typical Bruce signing and not what we need ..   have we not learned ?

No one foresaw it? Plenty on here did. I could quote loads of example from different folks in addition to this 11 months ago.

Well there's only 3 new players, plus every side has new players to bed in. I've said I think we'll struggle to be promoted but we really do need to go up this season. Parachute money is peanuts next year, I think we're in deep shit if we are stuck in this division for another year.

I like the way they’ve left the green underlining on for grammar errors. Classy.

You're right plenty, including myself, thought we'd struggle if we didn't get promoted due to reduced parachute money.
I think, if we're honest, the 'Deep shit' would have been having to cut back slightly, offloading aging players and not being able to just buy who we wanted to, but, I doubt very much anyone foresaw the magnitude of financial trouble we'd gotten ourselves into.

Sorry Nigel disagree.  Plenty of us suspected that we were seriously overstretched financially.

Yes "Tone Mate" would have been more suitable.

Was this not the paper who was reporting Bruce to be pleasantly surprised?

There's so much speculative bollocks at the moment. The Levy-ism in full affect. Those Jews ah? Mirror scrotes.

You think there is a Jewish effort to get Grealish to Spurs on the cheap?

No, I'm suggesting the Mirror is using Jewish stereotypes. Why is it only Levy, a Jew, is seen as some arch negotiator or tight when Spurs waste as much money as their contempories.

It was such a big gamble.

I don't think anyone envisaged we'd be struggling to pay tax bills though, more just having to sell a few players.

All feels up in the air. Are the players back for pre season next week? Will surely be some more clarity on the situation if only because SB will have to answer some questions on the state of play at the club.

I think they are back in next week and fly out to Portugal to a training camp.
