There's only been snippets in the news but IF they're correct and IF he's guilty then he wasn't a front man for other people.  The money came from someone else's company that he was a custodian of.  Obviously that's speculation unless he's convicted.

Should add the irony of AJ running this, when they're the propaganda organ for Qatar and all the MB nonsense they spread in the Middle East and of course, their own corrupt involvement in football.

Nonetheless, eye opening.

It seems that Cypriot passports are the way to go for corrupt businessmen these days.

Never had a problem with Al Jazeera and never noticed any bias in their reporting, quite the opposite in fact. Their documentaries are generally superb. That dodgy real estate couple in Cyprus have appeared in another documentary sting where the government minister friend was not only named but filmed selling dodgy passports to Russian mobsters etc..

It's the propaganda arm of the Qataris. It's the same as RT, but it's focus is more on stirring the pot in its own backyard as they scrap it out with the Hause of Saud for pre-eminence.

Maybe the Arabic version but the English version of Al Jazeera is excellent. To compare it to RT is ridiculous, have you ever seen RT? It's almost a parody of a propaganda news channel. Mentalists!

Was it Steve Hollis who found Xia on behalf of Lerner? For a man of his qualifications and experience in business, surely that reflects badly on him.

Didn't Mark Steel, when he was In Town in Malta, find 5 Russians using the same garage as their Maltese address?

The alarm bells were ringing when he turned up to Bodymoor in an Uber - and in those shoes too.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.  For the numbers who were questioning the deal, there were many more shouting the doubters down and telling them to stop being negative.  Their attitude seemed to be "the louder I shout, the righter I am"

Given that nobody knew, there's no point taking any solace from guessing correctly. It's why the coin toss isn't an Olympic sport.
