Those who aren't that arsed about tomorrow's game, come back to me in 10 years when we're still down here like Leeds. Tomorrow is massive for the future of the club.

Having said all that. I’ll be doing my best to help get them over the line.

Has anyone said it isn't massive? I specifically said it was, just that it doesn't excite me like a big cup game does.

I’m still angry we didn’t go up automatically. I’m glad for everyone who’s excited by doing the business tomorrow but we shouldn’t really be in this position. We are. Win and it’s all irrelevant. Lose and it’s depressingly relevant. Like a salesman with one last shot at hitting his budget. I’m not excited at all.
I’m guessing you are very much in the minority.

Far more nervous whenever we're in an FA cup or league cup final.

Yes I want us to win tomorrow and it'd be frustrating if we don't make it but I feel we've stabilised as a club now and think we can get up in next two years anyway.

Cost cutting might stop us going up next year but then again Cardiff and Huddersfield have gone up in last two years with annual budget of 5p so our mass spending in last 18 months has created an illusion you need to spend 50m to get promoted.

If we lose we'll lose Johnstone, Terry, Snodgrass, maybe Chester to a Premier League team. That's a lot of experience and quality to replace. We would have to rebuild again and next season would be a wash out, mid table at best. I firmly believe if we lose tomorrow we'll be down here for years.

I am actually more nervous now than I was in Rotterdam. Lose that evening and we will have done great to get to the final. Lose tomorrow and we have a real struggle next season, though as a positive some of the young lads will get a chance. I have hardly slept all week

People don't think we could get up in next two years?

I know the loans would have to go back and Terry would probably move on but it's hardly like we'd have to put the youth team out, we should still be around the top 6.

Was talking to a guy who worked for the Nottingham Post the other day (was on same train as me) and he said Forest wanted Grabban and Jack Marriott (striker from Peterbrough) but he reckons we'd sign both if we don't go up. I joked Forest could have Hogan for a fiver.

A strikeforce next season of Kodjia, Grabban, Marriot and Kienan Davis still looks o.k to me and we could still get loans to plug other areas just like we've done this season.

Of course It’s important we win as the outcome is literally a bronze medal that’s as good as a gold. It will also be a good day out,  but having seen this club win a few things I’m not overly excited about getting 3rd in the 2nd division.

Count me in with the buzzkills. I'm disappointed that we're in this position, but at least we're still in it.

Win, and I'll be pleased, over the moon even, as much as anything else because I'm dying to see what Tone has got planned.

Lose, shit happens, life goes on, as you were, we're in this crappy division for another twelve months minimum.

But I can’t get myself excited about the occasion itself. Maybe I'll feel different when I'm in it, when I'm hoarse, when I'm deafened, when I'm engulfed by a sea of colours.

But right now, compared to a Cup final or even a semi, nah, not even close.

Not nervous in the slightest.

Tomorrow we will take care of business.

What makes you think that Marriot is better than Hogan?

I think we may lose players such as Chester and maybe even Jack if we don't go up and couldn't blame them for moving on as they deserve to be playing in division one

When we went down I said that if we were relying on Jack Grealish to get us out of the Championship we were going to be disappointed.

Obviously it takes more than one player but I think tomorrow Jack will prove me wrong, he was born to do this.

It would be criminal if he wasn't playing in the Premier League next season.

If, and it is a big if, we win, it will certainly be exciting for me and I am an old git who has been there when we have won the league and european cup, along with many other things since the early 70s.
