I thought it was a poor game to be honest - Johnstone was man of the match - without him we could have been 3 down before we scored

Jedinak - did okay - as long as he can only head the ball, his passing is woeful!

Draw would have been a fair result.

Bree, Jedi, Grabban and Kodjia were very good in the second half. I also thought Elmo did okay too.
Great goal!

I disagree. We deserved to win. They had a cluster of chances but they offered absolutely nothing and didn't attempt to play the game of football.

They're an abomination and they deserved fuck all and rightfully got fuck all out the game.

The referee was an absolute joke as well. How that ****** weasel Bennett wasn't booked for a snidey late one on Grealish I don't know, while the rugby tackle off the ball with Kodjia was shocking.

Oh Warnock, you’ll be missed when you pack it in. The artful  body checking, perfectly executed time wasting, highly organised arguing with the officials and the glorious long throw ins. Best I’ve seen since the glory days of Wimbledon.
Just can’t imagine how you haven’t been successful in the Premier League, it’s a mystery isn’t it?

How the fuck are Cardiff allowed to get away with that throw in malarkey, taking an age to walk a few yards up the pitch with a ball up your shirt, drying it and generally frigging about.

Do refs give them longer to take a throw in because they ‘need to dry the ball?’.

I went more in hope than expectation and we won. The season of 'if only' to end all seasons of if only's.

Rory Delap used to do the same when he was at Stoke.

Enjoyed last night. Hard fought game, we rode our luck a bit at times and an absolute belter won it for us.

Cardiff play to their strengths - direct, pace out wide and physical - which we struggled with first half and was compounded by us playing long balls out from the back.  Johnson's distribution in particular was questionable to say the least.

Second half we were by far the better team as we went shorter on passing and hit low balls to the forwards.

Cardiff fans and Colin seem a good match for each other - a total set of Warnocks, but there are many times this season (eg QPR at home) when we could have done with some of their players attributes.

Unsurprisingly, Warnock doesn't respond to the name 'Colin' despite how may times my mate yelled at him last night from well within earshot

Jack's goal aside, the best thing about yesterday was the two through balls from Grabban.  We go years without seeing Villa play a single through ball and two come along in one game.

Imagine Kodj or even Hogan being on the end of them and that for me means from now on I'd play Grabban as the wide left forward over Albert and Kodj if fit up front.

Much jubilation from HRH Royal Highness John Carew and some mate of his on the left.

What a bloody horrible team Cardiff are to watch. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team take long throws ins in line with their own penalty area before but they did it all match. Dreadful stuff.

Bet they found their players with a greater accuracy than our goalies clearances generally do.

Great match up with Kodja and Bamba in second half. He looks a good defender and unlike most of there team wasn’t trying to feign injury and waste time.
Yes, I liked Bamba.  Think he will go on to play a higher level.  Seems a decent sort too.

Hair to the throne. Not sure about the one on the right, maybe one of them secret service agents, doesn't look like he's too concerned about JC and an 8 year old though.
