Tiredness would normally kick in in the latter stages of the game, Shirley.

Adrenalin usually takes care of that in the early part of the contest. Unless it is chronic tiredness.  Or Bruce slipped a few Zolpidem into the pre match meal. Which come to think of it...

It looked like a conscious effort by us to take the pace out of the game right from the outset. Which is odd. They were on a bad run, and a quick start could have had them shiteing it.

It looked it though, the first goal was a wonder strike but the intensity to deny him space just wasn’t there. I thought the only player to look like he had ‘zip’ was Barney.

Whether that was physical or mental deficiency I can’t say but it wasn’t there.

Our lack of urgency has been apparent throughout the whole of Bruce’s reign. From throw-ins, to goal-kicks to moving the ball quickly. The only game i can think off where we have upped the tempo and pressed for the whole match is wolves at home.

Tuesday's  match couldn't have taken much out of the players as it was like a training match, so why so many lacked energy is a mystery. As others have said, they pressed on Adomah and Snodgrass and that's two thirds of our creativity negated.

Apart from Wolves, when we have really had to win we have failed. We've flunked the apparently simpler exams against QPR, Bolton, Hull and Norwich so that doesn't bode well for the harder tests of the play-offs.

To beat us currently
1)Stop the wingers - double up on them
2)Pressure the fullbacks into aimless punts
3)Kick Grealish
4)Take the lead
5)Wait for Bruce to clear out the midfield
6)Relax for rest of game as our extra strikers run back to our own half to get the ball due to no midfield

What has happened to Adomah and snodgrass?

Teams have worked us out and stopped them playing.
Press those two and Grealish into going backwards and we're largely screwed. You don't need to press us high all over the pitch, just pressure on those three is enough.

You are spot on with that statement.

I thought Grealish was one paced compared with what he was doing when he first came back into the team.

He was outshone by Maddison who looks to be off to Leicester for next season, shame.

We played with no pace, this allied with teams getting into our faces means we have been found lacking at the time we needed to be up for the test.

First goal was a good one to be fair just like Barney's the other night. We concede and then struggle to raise our game.

BB has a bit of zip to him, Chester too but the rest of the side yesterday is fairly one paced throughout. Hogan unfortunately doesn't have the pace to get on to balls played behind the centre backs. Think we need to get Kodjia back starting for next few games.

Exactly right, simple.

Agreed. Two Norwich fans were walking to the ground behind me and one said to the other that he was going to leave once they were 2 down. The other replied that he would therefore be gone by half time. They had no confidence but we allowed them to get into the game.

Unrelated, but the friendliest ground staff, including police, that I have come across in a long time.

So as there must be balance in life you have to go to Millwall.

The Norwich fans were booing their team after half an hour. That should have been the spur to put them to the sword.

Do your research, who is Millwall reserve team goalkeeper?

Grealish was every bit as good as Maddison in that game. You ask a neutral to say which player they would want-most would go for Jack.
