I'm in IOM this weekend watching our rugby club playing a league game. As it's the Merseyside Derby at the same time on BT Sport,  I think that'll be the game being shown in most pubs or clubs. Anyone know if a pub or club likely to show the Villa game ?

As you say, it’s the Merseyside derby at the same time, and as half the Island is Scouse there’s little chance anything else will be on, as most publicans would consider it commercial suicide to show anything else.

Which team are you playing, as then I could at least suggest a pub or two in the area to try.

Playing Douglas, there's 50 of us going over, but not all will have any interest in the Villa game.

Actually, assuming it’s either Douglas or Vagas, then you could try Jaks halfway down the prom on the seafront. They’ve sometimes got different sports on different channels so that would be worth a try. Failing that, try the Outback run by my good friend Emma. They own the pub next door as well (The Rovers) so I think they might be able to have different games on too.

No problem.  The rugby club is a little way out of town though, so it will also depend on what time your match kicks off.  Jaks will almost certainly be your best bet.
