Yeah the its the championship comments are really very annoying now as clearly there are 3 teams and least dispelling that myth , even Milwall who have a tiny budget are able to put a run together.

Frankly I'd sack him now and gamble on a new manager bounce in the play offs I am that pissed off at the crap I have witnessed since Wolves.

We have looked so flat since scaling the heights against Wolves and I'm as disappointed as eveyone else on here but there's no reason why the players cannot rally and regain form for the play offs, I still feel that in those pressure cooker games with full houses and our fans driving them on that our players will get us promoted.

well Huddersfield's form turned to shit during the run-in and they went up without winning a game so anything is possible. I'm no Bruce apologist but sacking him now is madness - for a start who could we bring in?

As for yesterday, first half we were ok and should have gone in at half time in front. Second half was diaspointing though. While a point is better than nothing, we really should be winning games like that because Hull were terrible.
Just about sums it up;very well, in fact.
We should ask the question: how many games have we really dominated through ‘good football’ versus sheer force of character? 2 or 3. And when the opposition managers are so easily able to counter our game tactics (such as they are), winning at least a point off us is really not very hard.

Okay: so I’ve exaggerated it: clearly, we’re 4th, so we’re not a total rollover. But I’m sure you get my point.

Garbage. 3 wins out of 8.

You have our bad run starting at Fulham rather than QPR?
I think it's possible to be in a good run and lose or draw the odd one (like we did against Fulham and Preston) and then return to type. As we then eased to victories over Wednesday, Sunderland and Wolves.
I fear the latest Bruce shit-streak only started then and there's a few more bad results to come. Starting with another limp display at VP on a Tuesday against blue and white hooped opposition.

"the more forward players we brought on the worse we became".

Good grief.

we then had to rely on Johnstone's variable clearances to forwards who couldn't get shit to stick to them and an absence of midfielders to pick up the second ball......that's relegation tactic planning to me.

I'm quite looking forward to the Play Offs. Semi and Cup final football.

35,000 Villa at Wembley, taking over Covent Garden and watching us promoted in exciting fashion.

I'm pretty sure SB's last full season at this level was very similar.

Hull in 15/16 were heavily tipped to go up in top 2.

They were around that position for much of that season, might've been 2nd after new year but last few months they tailed off and finished 4th.

Still won the play offs though.

There is no exact formula to win them, the sixth side storming in to win them has actually happened less than I thought. The third place team has gone up the most times I think.

What's clear though is we need to find our level again as we've been very flat last few games.

Can only think after the euphoria of Wolves the players have quickly got dispirited by how far 2nd has again gone into the distance by Cardiff continually winning.

They know automatic promotion has gone and the performances on the pitch are now reflecting it. We need to forget about that now and just focus on playing well again, scoring a few goals and regaining confidence.

My enthusiasm has been punctuated recently by the dross that has followed such a good game against the Dheads ...

Hull in 15/16:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35584437

They were top after that game on Tues 23rd Feb 2016.

Won just 3 of their next 11 league games and finished 4th.

Still roused themselves to win the play offs though so it can be done.

Fulham are the best side in the 3-6th positions. They should end up 3rd and have the plum 2-legged tie before a visit to Wembley.
My concern is that our gameplay is so predictable that any half-decent manager should have the wherewithal to nullify our strengths, even with only a workmanlike squad at their disposal. We don't even mix it up with our 2 wingers switching wings every 15 minutes; as a result of which our crosses from the wings are slow (because both current wingers have to check inside to deliver).
Shit, if our 'go-to' change of tactic is to denude the MF and have 3 or 4 strikers on the pitch we really are in trouble.
