Just got back.
Awful game, and my son and I agreed that it was the lack of a robust midfield. Angela played okay, as did Jedi, but early on in the second half Hourihane should have come on for the hapless Albert. Once again, I thought Bernard Cribbins was out-thought by an opposing manager: in the second half, Hull were a completely different proposition and we had no answer.
And, we’re not very good at passing the ball to a player in the same colours ...

Seriously trying to track my brains as to anytime where playing a 4-2-4 has worked for anyone ? Can only think of Middlesborough's bizarre run to the UEFA Cup final, where (future England manager) Steve Maclaren used it in a few rounds before getting toned in the final ? Sure there must be others. Somewhere...

Only tactic that's gonna save Nan's hair now is praying Kodjia regains his scoring boots for the play-offs.

First half wanky. Second half worse.

Poor decision making all night.
The first half was good. Victory was inevitable. Hull stepped up and Bruce couldn't cope. Get rid at the end of the season whatever happens.

As I said last season RDM shouldn't have been sacked to be replaced by this joker. The Wolves win was obviously a fluke.

Watched it on mute so didn’t hear any of the analysis but that looked as tepid as the last two non performances, they’ve submitted top 2 after doing the hard work to get back there so the credit Brucie got for getting them to work as a unit up to Wolves is thrown back at him.

Did Hutton make a challenge that accompetent ref wouldn’t have given as a foul, how anyone can want him here come August completely beats me.

Axel reminds me of the young Micah, has clearly played a lot of youth football using his physical power to defend the ball and getting away with it, in men’s football you have to remember to kick the ball as well.

We can only hope that come play off time we are back trying to win and out of this Brucie rut.

Strikers are no good if there is nobody to give them quality ball.

"the more forward players we brought on the worse we became".

Good grief.
What about keeping a shape in place Bruce?? His fucking no midfield policy late on in games we are struggling is unbelievably simpleton.

I haven't had the dubious pleasure of listening to his post-match 'assessment', but the aforementioned nonsense that he uttered has the hallmark of a manager who has lost the plot. He seems like a nice guy, but I'm afraid he's rapidly approaching the end of his tenure at VP.

Well done to the ref for being absolutely shite at his job and denying them the most stonewall penalty you're likely to see, thats about all really.

Definite pen but I think the one where their bloke took it away from Albert with his hands was a pen too. Generally though we did seem to get the rub of the green with decisions.

Blessing in disguise. After the previous two games we were never going up automatically. Everything now needs to be channelled on the play offs.

Lose away, draw at home. Bruce sacked.
