I'm not allowed to use my powers for stuff like that.

Now that the window has slammed shut until January and we can assess our squad, I thought I'd revive my positivity thread and bullet point some positives to think about after our disastrous start to the season.

- The Martínez saga is over
- We have some fresh firepower with Guessand, Sancho and Elliott
- We have a good backup goalkeeper
- We have a brief break for international football to reset and *go again*
- Our manager is a genius and the right man for the job

Any more?  8)

Our Premier League record goal scorer is still at the club.

And surely with just 17 goals in his last 62 apps the only way his goalscoring form can go is up? 8)

We still have great owners, and were expanding the stadium.

Also on the way to being a global brand.  I went camping with some friends at the weekend (see other thread), but chatting to one of my mates sons and he really liked Villa.

He said he reckoned by next years trip he'll have added Villa to the teams he supports.  Which so far is Arsenal, Man City, Inter Miami, Real Madrid, Barcalona and PSG

So we're in good company!

After the international break hopefully we are close to full strength. The key players have almost all been linked with a move away in an environment where they all knew they could be sacrificed to meet the rules, will now be able to focus on the job at hand. We do have some very decent options. The defence is the worry but that starts with the keeper. So a lot of work to do but more than enough to turn this around.

It's too soon for our front four to be England's front four...
