I really don't understand why we waited until the 5th batting point was gone and then accelerated, hopefully it's irrelevant but seems like poor decision making to me.  That said, there's probably enough on the board now so I wonder how much longer we'll bat for, with 2 days there's no great incentive to declare but any time after Bell gets his 200 (196 right now) it becomes an option for me.  Probably no point declaring before the close now though.

445-8 at stumps, a lead of 242 and I expect them to declare overnight thus giving our attack best use of the early morning conditions.

Middlesex are well poised against Sussex too, so if they can continue and build a sizeable lead - they’re 208 in front with 5 wickets in hand - then Sussex could well be in trouble.

Kent are well placed against Derbyshire but Derby are batting well so that’s evenly balanced. Interesting days ahead for the Bears particularly as we still have to play Sussex and Kent.

Another decent day for Worcs - 306 for Lancs to win - hopefully won’t go to the wire :-)

They went off for bad light around then, so i guess it wasn't easy batting. They accelerated when they came back on.

Would have been nice to grab a wicket tonight before the close.  Hope we win this.

Great play by Bears and Bell in particular. Great chance to open a gap between us and a couple of contenders if we can finish them off, with Sussex and Leicestershire struggling. Be even better if Derbyshire can hold Kent to a draw.

503 all out. Glamorgan need 300 to make us bat again.

Elsewhere, Kent made 561 but Derbyshire are putting up a decent resistance on 234 for 2.

Leicestershire are in deep trouble having replied with 111 all out to Gloucestershire's 202. Glos now 173 for 1 in their second innings and should set an imposing total.

Sussex made 171 in reply to Middlesex's 169 and the latter are now 226 for 8, a lead of 224. Could be close.

Middlesex dismissed for 232. Annoyingly good fightback from Sussex who need 231 to win. Middlesex were 212 for 5. Assume the match is at Lord's in which case you'd assume that early wickets will be crucial.

Good start for the Bears.  Hopefully will have it wrapped up by the close of play this evening.

Sussex just gone 41/2 chasing 231 - think that one could be close and will probably be all over today.

Derbs up to 308/4, still 103 away from the follow-on but if they do get there you'd expect it to go no result, given how it's gone I can't imagine Kent risking a short target and there's just not going to be the time for them to clean up Derbs, add 100-150 themselves and then clean them up again.

Leics are fucked and can probably be discounted from the race now, we'll have about 70 points on them by the end of tomorrow.

All looking pretty good for us right now.

Bears making steady progress, have just taken Glamorgan's third wicket.

Happily, Sussex seem to have fucked it up against Middlesex, collapsing to 114 for 8.

Derbyshire and Gloucestershire still batting.

Yep, the derbs/Kent game is the important one now, still 61 needed to avoid the follow on.

Sussex land Leics look fucked and we're in a very strong position.

Gloucestershire declare on 402 for 4 with Chris Dent 214 not out. They set Leicestershire a somewhat improbable 494. Not sure why they didn't declare the second he passed 200, but hopefully it won't matter.

Derbyshire look like they might have to follow-on, they need a further 52 to avoid it with two wickets left.

No futher wickets in the Bears game.

Sussex have just lost their ninth and still need another 103.
