Disappointing outcome last night as has been said with other results. Could still sneak into 4th with 2 wins as Notts and Yorks have to play each other but relying on some luck now.

A little bit of news out of Edgbaston this morning...Tim Ambrose has signed a one year extension on his contract.
This takes him up till the end of next season.

I’ve always rated Ambrose and he’s been at the club for a few seasons now.

I’m not sure that a contract extension fits with Giles’ desire to reduce the average age of the squad, but I imagine that no keepers are available that fit with his requirements, young and able to play across all three formats. I think that it will be another busy winter at Edgbaston with a few more departures and a few new faces.

Well deserved this year, hew's done a good job providing a bit of resistance down the order.  On top of that Mellor looks a poor replacement, I think we desperately need to find a good young wicketkeeper for next year now though.

Matty Lamb has this morning signed a 2 year contract extension to end of 2020.
Try and have a chat with his dad tonight to get Matty's views...i daresay he's delighted.

If people aren't aware game on Sky this evening. Plus Loughborough Lightning playing prior to the main event v Western Storm.15:00 start.

Excellent against Lancs tonight in the T20. Totally outplayed them. Pity we couldn't do this earlier in the competition....tough to qualify still.

It’s not that tough. One more win and we go through.

Not quite, Yorkshire have a game in hand - against Northants then a final game against Notts. Need Northants to win and Yorkshire to beat Notts, assuming, of course we beat Worcs - and we all know how that game usually unfolds....a chance of sneaking into the quarter finals....but very slim.
