Bears hammered Yorkshire at Edgbaston today in a T20 match. Pollock thrashed a quickfire 39. Bell and Hose both got 50s.

One of these days Pollock will stick around and dominate an innings.

If Pollock starts converting these into big scores he'll be another than doesn't play many games for the Bears, he could very easily end up having a career of touring the t20 leagues and playing as a specialist in the format, and probably make a lot more money than he will doing anything else. He currently averages just over 30 but at a 191% strike rate, that's a huge impact from an opener.  Probably needs to keep things at this level or better for another year or 2 to get to that point though because he's really not played many games.

Chris Woakes scored a 96 ball 114 for 2nd xi yesterday, although he wasn't supposed to bowl he did bowl 11 overs.

His next game will be for England Lions v India A.
Shame he hasn't been released to play for Bears in this weekends T20 double header.

Horrendous tonight.
I am not a big fan of the format, but Sibley and HobblyDobbly are big concerns.

4-9 off 2 overs for Dillon Pennington tonight - had a good start to his senior career and looks to have a bit of pace to boot!

A chastening experience for the Bears!  Crazy total by an average Leicester foxes team. Hannon-Dalby isn't the answer.  Olly Stone is needed back quickly!

I had a marvellous night at Edgbaston apart from the result. A friend won seats in the Bear Pit which included beer & food, a T20 shirt and a tour of the dressing rooms where I met Ashley Giles, Ian Bell and Grant Elliott. I also spoke to Ollie Stone who confirmed that he’s back from injury next week.

I thought two of the dropped catches were probably due to the conditions and picking up the white ball against the light background of the seats and also the floodlights. Bell’s drop was a difficult chance as he was running towards the boundary with the ball coming over his shoulder.

Ultimately they had a collective off night.

Agree, what's happened to the well drilled disciplined team that thrashed Notts recently? Olly get fit soon! What does OHD offer? What's happened to Thomason or Poysden, Barker or Wright?? Sort it Gilo! We'll be lucky to qualify for the next stage...

OHD has always worried me. He’s a ball away from going for consecutive 6’s.

I think they preserve Barker for 4 day cricket as they do with Trott. Wright is off to Leicestershire so he's unlikely to get picked. Rankin has been in every squad so far so they could pick him instead of OHD.
