The two no results really cost us, however getting hammered by Derbyshire in the first game was also a factor. Good luck to the Pears.

Yep, Worcester made it a bit tougher than they needed to there.  Brookes was a real threat with the ball in the closing stages and looks a real prospect.

Sound familiar?

I was enjoying it better 20 mins ago :-)

Brookes looks a real prospect

I really like the look of Brookes, he bowls a great line and length for his age and is quick enough to be hard to play.  Right now he still throws down a pie or 2 but aside from those 25 wickets this season at about 23-24 is mightily impressive for a teenager.  If he keeps it up all Summer I suspect he'll be right on the radar for England.

Lost the toss this morning, there was one...Glamorgan won it and are batting.
Decent start for them 31/0 6 overs.
Poysden gets a start for Bears...no Oli Stone...slight injury
Rhodes, Sibley, Bell, Trott, Hain, Ambrose, Barker, Patel, Wright, Brookes, Poyden

We lose Sam Hain towards the end of the month as he's named in England A squad for a trinations one day tournament.
33/0 7.2

Will be an interesting final day at Edgbaston tomorrow. The Bears chasing 294 are 25-0 overnight. If we can occupy the crease then across 3 sesssions we should win comfortably.

I may venture down depending on the score when I get up tomorrow lunchtime after a night shift.

Hadn't realised that the powers that be had arranged for the quarter finals of whatever the 50 over tournament is called these days to take place during yet another pointless ODI series. So Yorkshire face Essex without 5 of the players who played in the last match plus Bairstow, they don't exactly encourage people to watch the County sides do they?

The scheduling this season appears to be particularly bad. The recent bank holiday had no first class cricket being played which is utter madness.

Twenty-four points clear of Kent in 2nd place who we play next week at Tunbridge Wells.

I might go along to that. Last time I saw Warwicks there Alan Donald was bowling. His run-up nearly started in the pavilion and from sideways on I couldn’t follow his deliveries against the picturesque backdrop of rhododendrons, and I don’t think the Kent batsmen could either.

Mind you, cricket week here usually attracts the foulest of weather...

He’s assistant coach at Kent now. Let’s hope he’s not coached their bowlers too closely!

Listened to some of the Essex v Yorkshire match on the radio yesterday, the commentary was from Radio Essex and they were saying how much of a miss 37 year old Ryan ten Doeschate was for them. Good win for Yorkshire.

What a run chase by Kent (adopted county) against Worcs. Both sides, at various times, dead for all money.

Respect to young Pat Brown.
