I went to watch Hampshire v Kent yesterday at the 'Rose Bowl' ( Ageas Bowl ) I needed cheering up after the Villa debacle!
2 teams, I didn't care who won, I just wanted to be entertained and sit in the sunshine.

Kent opened on what seemed like a slow track and finished on 296/4. I felt this was maybe 30 runs short and maybe Hants were a couple of wickets light.
Hampshire started brightly until two quick wickets slowed them. They were however always up with the rate of 6 an over. Every batsman got in and Weatherley hit a maiden century.

At the end of the 49th Hampshire needed 4 to win, 3 for the draw. Weatherley on 104 n.o. was facing. Easy eh? The Hampshire fans thought so, they all started to pack up and leave.

Enter Matt Henry, a Kiwi, medium paced trundler. Four dot balls later Hampshire were shitting it! A single off the 5th and another off the final ball, left them one short.

I don't think I have laughed as long or as loud for ages... A brilliant result. Cheered me up no end. The faces of the Hampshire supporters was hilarious.

Cricket schedulers should be shot. A bank holiday and no matches is ridiculous.

Absolutely correct.  I guess England should have been playing Pakistan but domestic cricket should definitely be scheduled for bank holiday's.

Plenty of runs on view at New Road, Leicester amassing a massive 376/4 and Pears in reply, despite losing Moeen Ali for a duck, are progressing
very nicely on 203/2 28.3.  Ferguson just getting to 100.

Ferguson up to 156*

Should do that.
