I follow Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga and they have been shite for ages -relegation beckons, if they don't up their game and sharpish. A couple of weeks ago in Hoffenheim, the travelling support finally lost their collect rag and hurled abuse at them for the last twenty minutes. This led to the players not even acknowledging the fans at the end. Next day the club, trainer and players sent a joint open letter whinging about how upset they were and how much they were all trying really, really hard to avoid relegation and the negative attitude of the fans was really not helping...
