Anyone ever got the tube to Hammersmith instead of Putney Bridge when going to Fulham? I realise it's a longer walk to the ground but I'm just thinking it may be less crowded, especially the pubs.

Yep. The pub we usually drink in before Fulham is closer to Hammersmith.  Nice walk to the ground from there

The last time I think we won down there was when Gabby scored two goals early on in the game so you can tell how far that is going back. I think we went on to win anyway.

A win would be great, a draw is what a lot of people would take now but if we do lose, I hope the players get applauded for their efforts of the last 7 games. I'll go 2-2. Hogan with both ours.

The Eight Bells is the best pub. By the station, full of Villa, lots of shouting. I would recommend that everyone, that I don't know, goes there.

Can find absolutely nothing to suggest Adomah is out of Saturday's match

Both Adomah and Grealish are doubts for tomorrow. Let’s hope Bruce is bluffing.

I can live with Albert being out in this game but to lose Jack is far more damaging.

Green is hardly likely to get a start tomorrow ahead of Barney or Onomah. So suddenly, it becomes difficult to envisage us being an attacking threat.

I would have taken a draw before this news but would snap someone's hand off for one if these two players are out.

I'm guessing that if there are any doubts, Bruce has one eye on Tuesday where the 3 points are expected/hoped for. Bruce is generally happy with a point away from home - He certainly would be at Fulham which is why I think he'd go on the side of caution with his flair players, shoring up the solidity of the side in the process.

I think both were included in that training video that was posted yesterday, so I’m hoping it’s nothing too serious. Could be a bit of mind games from Bruce as well.

The Albert rumour has been circling for 24 hours or so now but Jacks name has only just come up. They are clearly just niggles otherwise the decision would already have been made. If one or both don't play, I would think it would be with one eye on Tuesday and even beyond.

What frustrates me is the 2 young loan signings we have. My feeling is that Bruce is under pressure to play them as much as possible. If there is an excuse to get them involved, Bruce may well go down that road if he gets a chance.

I know what you're getting at, but given the volume we take down there, every pub around Putney appears to be full of Villa fans.

Which isn't a problem, as I like Villa fans, a sing song and as long as you're not waiting particularly long to be served, it makes for an enjoyable build up. Nearly £10 to get my old man and myself a Peroni a piece last year. Which shows inflation as I recall thinking £3.00 a pint was a lot in the Puzzle 11 years previously. The next time I get my wallet out down there, in 2029, I dread to think how much it will cost.

Mind you I was at uni then paying £1.40 a pint. My brother graduated from the same uni 18 months ago and it was still under £2.

I feel I have drifted here.

with this injury news I’d definitely take a draw

We shouldn’t take a chance if it risks either player being out for weeks as a result

Not convinced hogan up front without jack will work. Jack is the only one who reliably get us up the pitch unless we have more of a target man

I’m hoping to go to this but it’s gonna be a real tough game

TFL Weekend Travel Information (London Underground):

Due to line modernisation work this weekend, there will be no service on:

Circle Line: Between Baker Street and Hammersmith/High Street Kensington via Bayswater.

District Line: All weekend between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington and also before 09.00 and after 21.00 between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia).

Hammersmith & City Line: Between Baker Street and Hammersmith.

Can anyone less thick than me tell me how to get from Marylebone to Putney Bridge while avoiding these routes, please?

I went to Fulham-Arsenal a few years back and got the bus that stops on Putney high street (right by where the tube station is). It starts at Euston Square so 10 minutes walk from Baker Street.
