The 3 Blues ST holder I know I spoke to after the game and (this is more pleasing that actually winning - well almost  ;)) all said the same thing more or less

* The significantly better side won
* It felt like a premiership side playing them as the gulf in class / ability was so evident
* one even admitted that they actually were surprised at how good some of our play was and was happy that it was not 4/5/6
They all criticised carrot muncher and said that it was really poor that they did not show a lot of the blues dogged spirit but accepted that we did not allow them the time of space.
One said that he had not really seen much of Jedinak but thought he was the catalyst for our strength as he owned the centre of the park.
They all hate the arrogance of Grealish but accepted he is was almost unplayable

They then slagged off their own team as expected.

Some would like a dubious penalty to rip victory from them  - just to watch their heads explode. I much prefer when they just know they were done over by a much better footballing team and have no real answer to it

happy days  ;D ;D ;D

The only town or city where there are more Blose fans than Villa is Solihull. Even then, there's not much in it.

Not sure that is even true anymore. We hoovered up a load of new fans for a decade before they got promoted from all over the conurbation.
East Birmingham and 'North Solihull' are pretty much even stevens nowadays

Where do you even begin with shit like this?

It's the ones from North of Brum that bug me. Why? Because there are other clubs from those areas that they really should be supporting.
Walsall Villa, Black Country Villa, brownhills, pelsall, staffs etc,....Have they not heard of Walsall, WBA, Wolves?
That is gloryhunting!

Worcester is a satellite town south of Brum ( as we all know)..I guess people there have to support a Brum team as Brum is probably
closest area to where there are LEAGUE clubs ( yes i know about worcs city) and there a few ex pat Brum folk there too i suspect
Ha ha, that’s ridiculous. I guess most football fans follow family loyalties. So you, your father, grandfather or even great grandfather probably grew up within a few miles from Villa Park. Families move around though, hasn’t this thicko thought of that?
As for glory hunters, we can’t be very good at it can we? I’ve been ‘glory hunting’ for decades and haven’t caught much glory yet apart from the early eighties.
Made me laugh too about  Worcester, satellite town my arse.

Having recently watched match now in full have to add that was fantastic win and that really villa players showing class of own. Deserved and would have liked Hourihane to have put ball in to box at end for Grabban to have a goal attempt. I liked hogan work ethic outstanding chasing down and making own chances. The opposition were not up to much and the football gods made sure the post kept out their one meaningful effort. Grealish is a pleasure and didn't like the rough treatment received. Good showing and needless reminder how much better the villa are. Fair play Bruce too

Grew up in Solihull and can vouch for that!

I don’t see much wrong with Scudder’s tweet and I don’t think we should sing this city is ours. Unnecessary.

Absolutely, and I dont think Brian Little could actually walk on water so that song can go as well.

If we are revisiting and revising our opinions of old songs does that mean that we all have to start caring about Chris Price having no hair?

As a slight change of direction and back to the game (not sure why we are reminding ourselves who is the bigger and better supported club tbh)

Can I have a mention out for the ref - we have had so many poor ones in the division I thought he had a great game and kept it flowing which helped our game plan no end.

He got the sending off spot on as well, especially when JT told him  ;)

If you went to the trouble of speaking to three Small Heath season ticket holders why didn't you go the whole hog and track down the other three for a chat?

I agree with the poor refs in division. However the ref should have second yellow for jenkinson foul and was then a red card. Gave unfair advantage to opponents.

Not even sure that is true anymore. If we take the street I live on as typical there are seven Villa fans and one nose, an entirely reasonable octogenarian who had season ticket up to a few years ago. At least of the ones I know or have noticed anyway.

They're even trying to claim the Peaky Blinders ffs. Now I'm not a huge fan of PB but it winds me up no end considering it's set in Small Heath ffs

Villa have never, ever, had a presence in (birmingham) city centre. That's a fact. Not open to discussion. It has always been blue and always will be. Even the most biased, deluded DVB will admit that.
