The only slight downer on a fantastic day was that the game wasn’t in mid April so we could give them a rousing rendition of We’ll Meet Again..maybe next time, if there ever is a next time.
The "going up, going down" more than made up for it. Seeing the whole ground doing it was a fantastic sight and sound.

The hangover this morning is very real. Worth every moment of it though! What a day.

Echo sentiments on how fantastic Jack was and the atmosphere was next level. 7/7 - unreal form. Onto Fulham and if we can get a good result their then who knows what we can press on to do over the coming weeks!

Have a great week at work all!! UTV

Still smiling x 2, in fact my face is hurting with all the grinning I've done all day.
me too Oz! Not got Foxtel, but was following the match thread on here. Watched a few YouTube clips today and it looked a great day out for Villa.

I love Aston Villa, I love Villa Park, I love the board, I love every player, I love every fan but most of all today I love Steve Bruce. Those of us who have been through something similar (although not as awful as his few weeks) will know how hard that must have been. Glad that the lads put a smile on his face. Really moving watching him trying to control his emotions.

It was so easy and we were so dominant it didn't seem like a derby game.

The noses here arent saying much. In fact nothing at all.

I actually find the best way is not to say anything at all to them until about 11:00. I mean 2.0 against relegation fodder is a new run o mill result.

For me, the big difference between yesterday and last seasons game was our league position.

Last season, it was all about beating them to help send them down. Yesterday was all about beating them to help boost our own promotion push.

The 3 points is by far the most important thing, especially as the game was a potential banana skin. The fact that it has upset the grubby, bitter small timers from Solihull is an added bonus.

On the subject of the fans, well done to everyone who bought tickets for the Upper Trinity. I was sat opposite and the atmosphere and noise from that stand was excellent. It would be great to get that support back for the big games we have between now and the end of the season.

It was a great day and a fitting performance and result for a fixture I think we will not see again for some time.

Rob B- I guess a good wind-up would be to talk enthusiastically about going to second place and not even mention beating them- like you were talking to a Norwich or Sunderland supporter or something, just to rub in their irrelevance.

Yeah I was sat in the lower trinity and the upper section was making a lot of noise. We even joined in a few times lol. Reminded of the old trinity road stand. I remember them singing and it spreading right round to the holte. Great stuff. Keep it up guys.

Jedinak and Grealish rightly getting all the plaudits but I thought Hogan worked his bollocks off upfront by himself, they couldnt handle his movement at all.
That was the worst blues support ive seen at our place by a mile, they're usually good for adding spice to the atmosphere but they offered nothing yesterday, maybe the years of losing at Villa Park, late goals etc has taken its toll on them but after criticising us for being quiet at there place earlier in the season I expected more from them.

Yes Hogan was very lively and a goal for him would have been well deserved.

gives his all, runs himself into the ground but I’m not sure he has the quality needed if we get back to the prem

Yep better to talk about the next game v Fulham - a proper big game.
