That lad who was marking Jack, the fella who got sent off, did they sign him on the car park at 10.30 like you used to in the Festival League?

The noses don't rate him either. They are pleased he's out for a while.

Their team and fans were the worst to come to VP this season,  Burton made more noise and had fewer empty seats, probably the same amount of coaches as well.

Fannies.

There's one of them on the Guradian post match report and he's halfway sentinent, which is funny as he can twist himself into even more elborate delusions than your average rag.

Ndoye squaring up to John Terry. Ndoye had the height and weight advantage but Terry faced him down without even blinking. Terry was also streetwise enough not to do something silly and get sent off. Unlike Ndoye.

Really enjoyed that. Everyone had a good game today I felt. That bit of class we have from Adomah, Grealish and Snodgrass is really showing of late. It gives us a match winning edge over most of the sides now. No one seemed to know how we'd fit Jack Grealish into a Steve Bruce side, but to be fair, since Jack's come back, our overall play has improved a hell of a lot. We're seeing much better football and Brucie absolutely nailed his game plan today and I've got the utmost respect for the way he's handled the sad news his family have had to contend with...no one would have begrudged him taking this weekend off to be at home. Whatever you think about the Bruce style of play, the guy is a class act.

Grealish has kick-started our season for me. He's come back and it's also coincided with Snoddy finding his rhythm too (I'd like us to keep him). You could see out there today that there's a number of players who will be able to make the step up to the Premier League without a problem. But what Grealish shows that he'll have that bit of extra quality. He's the player that for better or worse, top 6 clubs will sniff around if he has a run of form in the Prem with us. For me, WHEN we go up, it'll be Grealish who'll be our key man. He's physically there now and he's maturing. I thought he was superb today. He did all the fancy stuff you expect from Jack. He mucked in too. He worked hard, he got dirty. He stood up to being man marked and targeted. It was a man's performance.

The back four were rock solid (Terry slip aside). Jedinak was excellent too. Hourihane is another who'll step up quite well I think. It was also good to see Hogan looking confident.

They were at it on WM after the game.  After a few calls, the narrative soon became that if Gallagher had scored they would have gone on to win the game.  I'm sure we'll be hearing that particular thought plenty of times over the next week.

Credit to their manager and his post match analysis. No illusions or delusions, straight down the line honesty and self awareness. That will never catch on in Small Heath.

The police tweeted that there were NO incidents.
Was that the Perpignan Police? You know after a few Julipers anything can happen :)

It was particularly amusing that he’d done the hard part in getting the initial shot past Johnstone, when it hit the post the tap in was easy.........

Yep. That was every minute of his 20 odd years in the game there. He knows there are hundreds of players out there who'd love nothing more than to take a swing at him. I'm really hoping he'll stay one more year with us. Even if we have to agree to 'rest' him against Chelsea.
