We've pretty much controlled the half. My only fear is the Rags are picking up the loose ball when it comes out from their box.

Magoma seems to be always there for those.  Thyve hit us on the break there a couple of times.

AA has been holding back in challenges ever since he picked up that knock.
They been running at him getting a few counters and being allowed to breathe.

Hope Bruce leave Onomah on the beanch though. He just done have a Villa heart in a slugger contest like this.
AA for Thor or Grabban would be preferred.

We've pretty much controlled the half. My only fear is the Rags are picking up the loose ball when it comes out from their box.

Exactly right, the lack of height and numbers in their penalty area means that they are knocking/heading the ball away into the same area, about 15 yards outside their box right of centre and one of their midfielders knows where it's going each time and is picking the ball up there and carrying it away. Our players, despite some generally good pressure are not really noticing and going with the midfielder picking the ball up.

On those 45 minutes, you have to say Bruce made the right call with Jedi.

Unsurprisingly our midfield have had plenty of possession, but with only Hogan up top - we aren't giving their defence enough problems in & around the box. Perhaps the corner count will eventually pay dividends, but it's all a tad sledgehammer attempting to crack the nut. Hopefully Bruce will get them to believe in their superior footballing ability at H/T and we approach the second 45 with more nous and confidence. At least we didn't end up getting mugged when Gallagher fluffed his lines in front of the Holte.

Hourihane really does flatter to deceive.

He’s been below par for the last few games. Get him off.

How on earth are we not ahead in this? And all it will take is that opening goal because talent wise we are much the better side. It remains a concern that they will pinch something then close up shop.

Id love Green to have a run at these for 25 minutes and give some competition to Albert who I think has been a litte under par too with all the games and probably a few niggles

dont understand not having him on the bench

Yep I fear we'll lose this.

Hogan and Hourihane haven't got it in them.
