'spose beggars can't be choosers. Decent competition i guess for 4 months, but what we're gonna do in the summer if we go up is anyone's guess. Take a Man City type spend to get this squad anything other than relegation favourites

I'm sure Kodjia could score a few in the prem.

Him, one of Davis/Hogan and a world class striker from somewhere and that should be enough.

heh,  kodjia is one of the few really and even him i'm not sure of getting more than about 10-15.  It's the whole team really.  3 bloody loan players in the 1st team already, and a load of players who don't look good enough to me. Anyway not really the thread for this. Welcome Lewis

Davis has faded away. RHM is an injury waiting to happen so can’t be trusted. Gabby is the same and simply put past it. RM appears to be a lost cause and at best unreliable.

Grabban does things none of our currently healthy strikers do. Having him as an option off the bench and ultimately competing with Hogan for the starting spot makes us a lot deeper and stronger.

Grabban seems to play off the front man so more of a replacement for Flabby and Big Mac than Davis or Hogan.

Not sure about this one to be honest, from Ulloa to Grabban, seems a bit random.

Seems to have a fair bit of pace and (not really having that much of a go at Bruce), if you play on the break he's gonna suit your play,

According to Percy in the Telegraph, he's having a medical at BMH.

No complaints here. No point signing somebody permanently who won't be good enough in the Premier League. Which he isn't, so it'll probably be a short yet happy partnership.

If we shit the bed and he's been good, then it's a pretty sensible signing to then throw a few million at for next season (not that this scenario is particularly likely)

If we shit the bed and he's been rubbish, then he goes and we plan properly next summer.

Yeah I’d agree.

Cardiff are signing Gary Madine from Bolton.

Wolves were actually in for Benik Afobe also from Bournemouth.

At Villa Park in Chris Coleman’s first game, Grabban absolutely worked his socks off. And was clearly frustrated that his teammates could not give him the ball. Having thought nothing about him previously, I was very impressed. Given all of the restrictions, this is a very smart deal.

Aston Villa have completed the loan signing of Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth until the end of the season. Cardiff City were also interested.

And not there to help Cardiff. Could be win win as they say in corporate management speak.

Except that Cardiff have just signed Madine from Bolton with an equally good scoring record this season.
