I wasn't over keen on Bjarnasson in that role early on but he grew into the game and was decent. I thought Hutton gave everything like he normally does.  Overall though, it was more of a team performance rather than any players standing out which is sometimes the way it is and there's nothing wrong with that. They all dug in and got what they wanted. Delighted.

Fantastic result but lucky. We only really had two chances

Better second half

Defence did well - most of their chances were half chances

Grealish was class I thought - he was the only reason we could get up the pitch most of the time

Hourihane and Adomah were poor

Barny is a bit of a revelation in that position

Hogan is still a bit of a problem when we’re not able to play through midfield

Thought it was a good performance as well as result. You’re not gonna go and play a team as good as Sheff Utd off their own pitch. We were patient, defended well and scored the winner right at the death. Excellent stuff!

Spot on, mate. This was nothing like a poor performance, whatsoever.

To the statisticians out there.... when did we last win six league games in a row? Without looking it up, my guess would be 89/90?

Quite possibly as we won 7 in a row that season, as we did in 80/81.

I thought we started the second half really well and in the last 20 mins or so we looked most likely - Baldock's shot aside.

I have to disagree with those who have said that was a poor performance. I actually thought we controlled the game in large parts & were just let down with some poor final balls.

We were lucky not to be a couple of goals down in the first half and generally second best to most things. We were better in the second half and there were periods where we kept the ball well. But we rode our luck and a bit of magic won it in the end which is what we have paid for in getting in better players.

I think four was BFR's best sequence. Five was Sir Brian's. Got to be 89/90 I think.

this

We were defensively solid so the overall team performance was ok but the game was poor and we offered nothing going forward (aside from the goal).  A goal like that was the only way it was going to be anythign other than a 0-0 so I think the idea that we had poor performances across the pitch was undeniable, Adomah, Hogan and Hourihane were terrible, Grealish was better but ineffective, Snodgrass was working hard but doing nothing until the goal and neither full back provided anything in their half.

Everyone deserves credit for keeping the defence tight and making sure they were equally poor going forward and credit to Snodgrass for keeping at it and finally getting something at the end though, if you can't make it easy for yourselves then at least don't make it easy for them.

I know it's been repeated a number of times, but Chris Wilder is a breath of fresh air. Imagine just having been beaten in the 90th minute, when many neutrals would have felt they deserved to get at least something and come over as thoroughly dignified and to recognise the quality of that finish. A true gent. Unlike the carping, blinkered comments you get most of the time from most managers. Hats off to him.

Worth pointing out their only home league win in nearly 3 months was against Sunderland. That said no one has beaten them there by more than 1 and it was a very good 3 points for us.

Got to love a smash & grab especially with a goal in the 90th minute. The table looks a lot more interesting tonight. Sam Johnstone is heading to be our Player of the Season.

Massive result. Delighted for those that traveled up there. They'll only remember one thing from tonight, how the celebrated Snodgrass' goal and what a beauty it was.
