Sheffield United vs Aston Villa Match Thread

Ok boys. Off not a great weekend of other results we need to win this tonight to keep the pressure up on Derby. Win this followed by games vs Burton and the Noses we’ll be in great shape.

We're fairly well set if we need to bring subs on to protect a lead!

Was just thinking the lack of more forward options enforces the need to bring someone else in.

Horrible premonition that Barney is due a Sanchez/ Whelan ricket that leads to a goal. Then again, I never win the lottery, so just ignore me.

Damn right we are, four defensive midfielders.

Fine with the starting XI but surely we could be a bit more adventurous with the bench and maybe have Green as an option to cover the wings.

Yes, that is not auspicious. Is the manager - once again - into caution mode despite the value of the recent more expansive approach?

In his defence, he's yet to understand where Onomah prefers to play and produces his best performances. Bless him, he still thinks he's a winger, a Nº 10 or something.

Don't understand not having Green on the bench but four central midfield options instead. Bree, Lansbury, Green, RHM, O'Hare not able to make squad shows how strong we are.

Decent man management from Bruce to go with BB. Does give us mobility that Jedinak or Whelan wouldn't but think a physical presence will be required tonight.

Huge game but think we will be too strong.

Put Hepburn on the bench for duck sake. He's had one cameo and made an impression, let him show what he can do.

The first 11 kind of us to work here, because we don’t have a bench that’ll change the game.
