The goal was brilliant - I've loved Snodgrass all season....he's a brick and just loves to get stuck in....you almost knew that Forest weren't going to score by the end. Time to get rid of that "almost" and start fucking the fuckers.

What impressed me most about Grealish was his stamina, questionable in the past but he was still going strong at the end. Still do not believe Bruce gets the best out of the talent he's got but a win is a win.

Grealish would be the next coming of <insert name of great past English attacker here> if he played for a wankfest club......

Before we start annointing Jack Grealish the “next” anything or “he should be on the plane to Russia” he needs to do what he’s doing against PL opponents. I’m as delighted as anyone that he’s shown significant improvement and maturity. But he’s still playing in the Championship vs Championship calibre players. Let’s not get too carried away just yet.

From my observations the better the opposition the better Jack plays.  It is against the bus parkers he has problems.

You can only judge him by the opposition he has to face at the moment, you could also say that at a premiership club he would be playing with better players it's all relative. but I do remember him running out of steam after sixty minutes but not yesterday he was charging back in to defence. I am not getting carried away but he is by far the most skilful player we have.

It's against the teams that park the bus that we have better movement off the ball to give Jack more options especially to move it sideways or forward.

Thought we were solid all over the park including a very off form Adomah (although he did take a ķnock early on)
Although just off side I liked the way Hogan reacted to the great through ball and buried it. He is finally getting better service. Would also give a big mention to Elmo, nothing too spectacular but solid as a rock and rarely do we get threatened down his flank
Terry just oozes class and that rubs off on Chester and the others.
If we had of scored another goal it would have been as perfect an away performance as Preston was earlier in the season. That game for me really showed the potential of this team.

Let's be really positive we just caught up 2 points on the dingles with them still to come to vp

A very good, hard working and ultimately comfortable performance.  A bit squeaky bum at the end but I put that down to years of experience of watching us let last minutes goals in rather than any actual danger.

Dunno if it's been mentioned before, but how many times have we played against a team with a new manager this season? That usually spells disaster, not any more.

Bruce deserves some credit for that.

They're a quick side and we compressed it first half and made them rely on crosses which our two centre halves, dominated. He similalrly reacted to putting mobility into the holding role behind the midfield 4 and it enabled Hourihane to oush 10-15 yards hugher up. The result was a surprisngly energetic and excellent performance from Thor, while we actually upped our game a gear second half and was very pleasing to see.

Reminded me a bit of the good sides who came to Villa Park in the nadir of the Premier League where the scoreline flattered us.

At one nil mind you never know but it was a thoroughly deserved and very professional performance.

Snodgrass was excellent in particular.

Yes. The biggest surprise was BB's performance (I have been a critic of BB till now): will the manager stick with this surprise 'fit' at DMF? - yesterday, he could have taken the easier option of putting Lansbury on.
It'll be a true measure of SB's ability to see whether BB plays or whether Mile returns in the DMF role. And, maybe the answer will lie in how the oppo lines up.

If Jedinak is fit then he HAS to start in that role. However if he’s not I’d rather give B.B another shot at DM than see whelan in

I never thought I would ever say this but John Terry is the best player I have seen in a Villa shirt in years.

I’m envious of the Chelsea fans who got to see I’m for years at his ‘peak’
He’s absolutely class and oozes leadership on the field. The amount of times the sky cameras could even pick up him shouting instructions etc he conducts play also from the back for the further forward players, instructing two touch etc
Class 👏🏻
