We’ve missed a good opportunity to get 2nd place over the past few weeks. That’s very disappointing.

So I’ll bring it up on a thread where we won a game!

Managed to get the second half on the wireless.  We sounded lively. Jack has to start every match and try to get players to think about pass and move. He is in a different time zone for most of them.  Did anyone notice in the Brentford game as he ran and short passed to Snodgrass on the edge of the area and was expecting the short pass right back which would have put him clean on goal in the middle of the area, but Snodgrass stood there like a lemon and lost the ball.

The highlights were pathetic on C5.

Steve Bruce has a new nickname: Supertramp

He looked pissed to me (and I mean it in the English, rather than American sense). What a total fucking shambles of a man.

You're right, he did look pissed. Funnily enough he also came out with the sort of paranoid ramble that a you get from a pub bore who's had several double vodkas too many. Again.

Don't get me wrong, if he was pissed then I don't think that necessarily makes him a shambles. He just is a shambles.

I am no fan of Bruce but I can’t help feel we might go on another winning run especially with Terry back and Jack slowly being integrated and Kodja back at the death. He / we could be lucky.

The ‘motivational’ poster featuring Bruce this morning on Pravda was inspirational. A soaking wet Bruce reminded me of Richard E Grant in Withnail and I.

Someone mentioned earlier that Bruce was "precious". Funny that, I think that same criticism could be levelled at us. Bruce gets dogs abuse for going on an a bad run of form, and responds on the defensive when he gets asked a question after a good result. I would probably do the same. But regardless of all this, Bruce is referring to the press with his "crisis" comments not the Villa fans.

He's here till the end of the season. Let's get behind the Villa, he may surprise us.

I meant as in the title of their album released in the year Ron Saunders managed his third team in a League Cup Final!

I think Terry coming back will get us into the playoffs. God knows we’ve missed him

If he really doesn't think the criticism is justified then maybe the time to get his digs in is when they have no chance of coming back to haunt him. Doing it after an appalling run of form is maybe a bit premature i think. It's not like we played anything better than average anyway but for once didn't make a couple of the usual ricketts.

But my point was his "digs" aren't aimed at us, but at the press. I couldn't care less what they think.
