Bruce isn't  helping himself with the hysteriagate bollocks  he trots out every time we are shit.He might think he is deflecting critism by using the old "one game away from a crisis" chestnut , but he just comes across as a precious tit.

Well done Villa 11 plus subs on getting an unexpected but great win. I'm not snoddy's greatest fan, but well done to him for getting the goal! Keep up the good work lads! UTV

Pulis:

"I thought Villa did well, they played with a back four and five in front and never let us get in behind."

I think he is complimenting us?

Well it's been obvious for years that he's in love with us as he has never been able to stop talking about us. Thankfully this love remains unrequited.

I followed the first half on here and heard most of the second half of WM. Time to watch C5 now.

Thank Christ for that.

In much the same way that the best way to watch a Steve Bruce team is on Ceefax, the best way to endure a Steve Bruce post match press conference is with a giant pair of ear muffs. Deluded oaf.

It's interesting isn't it? Some managers would bemoan that approach, but in the mind of Tony Pulis, playing with a back four, five in midfield and totally negating the opposition is viewed as doing "well".

Not long back. I think Pulis was right. We weren't amazing, but deserved to win and managed the game well in the last 20 minutes, especially the defence.  I feel for Hogan in a way but RHM showed the simple things he should be doing in the short time he was on.

Only slight downside was stopping in Thirsk. It's a nice enough place but lots of people end up there. Saltburn was much better.

So after the rubbish we've endured recently he trots out same old crap "it was poor" "we made too many mistakes" blah blah blah. And doesn't tell us what he intends to do about it. He keeps schtum about the fans. We pick up one decent result and he goes on the offensive towards us. Sorry but that's the epitome of a fucking twat in my opinion.

In 50 years I have never disliked a villa manager as much. Instead of having a pop at the fans that pay your ridiculous wages just stop and look at your achievements in the last 18 months. If I had my way you would be sacked tomorrow after an interview like that.

Don't agree - O'Leary and Houllier talked down the club. Lambert was totally deluded 'excellent' comments and Sherwood was Barry Bullshit.

The magnificent spectacle looks like it could be the final knockings of the coverage this evening. Quelle surprise!  :(

A great, much needed win but Bruce really needs to pipe down considering the money spent and where we are in the table still.

We’ve missed a good opportunity to get 2nd place over the past few weeks. That’s very disappointing.
