We're currently in talks with Tony O'Shea to see if he fancies a trip to Dudley Zoo.

Isn't he Rick's brother?

Huge result in the circumstances and a well worked goal. Super assist from Adamoah. Good to hear Elphick did well, playing Jedi centre back in those 2 games cost us points.

Finally a chance to hurtle down stairs to the front when we score!

First half was poor and typical Pulis football. I thiught Leadbitter ahould have walked for an elbow on Onomah.

We moved the ball far too slowly and it was easy for them to get bodies behind the ball. Adomah went close and bar one long throw, I cannot think of anything of note that they had all game let alone all half

Hourihane pushed on more second half and I thought we were the better team. We moved it marginally quicker and Jack was at the heart of that.

Shotton switched off and Hourihane found space, fed Albert and boom!

Their circus act proved to be the one trick pony he is although I will commend him for coming out of nowhere to dispossess RHM.

The good: no mistakes. We defended really well. Jedinak dominated centrally and the centre halves coped well with the aerial bombardment.

The bad: we move the ball too slowly. We don't know how to use Hogan and it is a complete waste. RHM offered more.

Squad is decimated by illness and injury and still people moan...

Good win at a tough place.
Credit where it's due. Good win at a tough place. People will always have a moan on a fanzine it's a given.

The defence was excellent against some big units. The leagues third top scorer didn't really get a sniff. We also looked like we could score goals when RHM came on, he looked sharp and hungry. If it's a choice between him and Hogan to start on Monday, based on today, I'd go with RHM.

2,648 Villa fans there today.  They deserve medals.  And it would’ve been 2,649 if Des had made it.

Great away support that.

Glad to hear Jedinak played well. He's better option for us as DM than Whelan I think.

Is John Terry being saved for the Bristol game?

Elphick played really well. Did the right thing in hacking Fatboy down first half near the halfway line. No mistakes against the heavy artillery being launched left right and centre.

Twice this season, on the brink, Bruce has got results in tough games now. Both times he has been fortunate with team changes being almost thrust upon him, meaning an 11 that he would not have chosen has done the job. Hopefully RHM, Grealish etc get a run now.

Big kudos to Elphick. Miles from the team, stayed professional, worked hard and taken his chance. Thought he did well at Brentford and from reports was Man of the Match today.

Jedinak playing holding midfield makes such a massive difference too. Genuine leader. Please keep him fit and don't let that useless over the hill backward passer back into the side.

That’s good to hear, now can we make sure he doesn’t play again because we owe the law of averages heavily

Thank you.
I thought we did pretty well, and the manager just about got it right, even if he got lucky with Onomah's injury (which forced the Grealish introduction).
Elphick deserves a special mention for his steadfastness under the high-ball barrage. RHM looks a very exciting prospect; let's bloody use him! Preferably alongside Davis.

Was it Elphick who came and tossed his shirt into the crowd along with Grealish at the end? I couldnt make out who it was.

It's always good to get a goal from open play.  It was well worked too.

The fact Bruce has to go on about the mss hysteria shit (a phrase he coined at Sunderland apparently when their fans had enough too) straight after rather than praising the players that came in to the hilt is annoying. Even more so when he admits Elphick would not have played had Whelan not got a sickness bug, therefor Jedinak would have been at centre half despite him being totally at sea there against Sheffield United. All Bruce has done is prove my point, enforced changes have left him very fortunately getting a win. Almost in spite of Bruce.
