When I was a mere lad we always seemed to lose 1-0 to this lot with Doc Pace scoring.
On that basis 2-0 to us.

Pretty important game really. Would love to snap out of our mini bad patch. Also it would be nice for Villa to do well over Christmas for a change. I think I am the only one who rather liked the false 9 from the Derby game, but regardless Hogan & Grealish to start would be nice.

Not lost to them at home since 1966.

A loss and other results go against us and we could drop several places out of the play offs, this is a massive game for Bruce.

He'll approach it that way 1-1.

Every game is a massive game for Bruce, that's how unreliable he is. No vision. No future. The clock is ticking.

Slightly off topic but just seen Fairy Tale of New St. by Ire-ish on Facebook.  We must get it on the big screens this evening if only for the line ...and BCFC have lost another game...  Don't miss it.

Upper Trinity is partly open for this one so we should see a decent crowd.

We really need a win today, and that means scoring at least a couple of goals because I don't think we'll stop them scoring.

Even though we have Davis, Hogan and Gabby available, i'd really like to see him give the Russian an hour or so. I've got a sneaky feeling he will start Grealish and Hogan though

Only realised this is a late kickoff when I checked the team news yesterday.

Not confident, although they haven’t beaten us at Villa Park since 1966 in a League game apparently. Hopefully start the game better than we did against Wednesday.

I'm very pleased to learn that young Keinan is available again. Surely Bruce will have him in the starting 11; and it would be nice to see Hogan joining him up top in a bid to cause problems for their back four. Hopefully Jack will have earned a start after his display at Derby - and gives us the nous & attacking intent that's been seriously lacking since god-knows-when.

Thus, I predict SB to oversee a trademark, unambitious, 4-1-4-1: resulting in a dire 1-1 to raise the Crimbo spirits. Not.

Must win I think in this one will set the tone for the rest of the xmas fixtures.

Lose this and we will be dropping out of the play off zone in next 10 days. Draw isn't much use either.

2-0 win and a reasonably convincing performance.
