Blackpool v Aston Villa 1969/70 away game
« on: December 11, 2017, 10:35:34 PM »
I was always allowed to stay up late on a Saturday for match of the day and remember this game  being on the programme.

I am almost certain it pissed down that day and the Villa changed shirts at half time.  Can any old fart tell me more.

Can you give the score?  I'm pretty sure I was at that but it could have been the previous season.  It wasn't unusual back then for teams to put on fresh shirts at half time in wet weather.  I know I got drenched on one visit to see the Villa at Blackpool.
