Chester was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch tonight. He gave an absolute masterclass in defending. He read everything and was always in the right position, his form is so crucial with Terry being out.

Great to see Jack back as well. He looked very comfortable on the ball which is not something we can say about many of our players.

I agree on both points.  Chester was superb, probably our only player who went in at half time having given a decent account of himself and then stepped up again in the 2nd half.  Grealish coming on gave us someone to play around.  They weren't used to him being there so there were a few times that Adomah, Davis and Snodgrass ran away from him down blind alleys when they could've kept it simple but it still meant that we started getting some possession in their half which forced them to defend deeper.

Hourihane off for Lansbury was a good call as well because he looked like a guy who was in need of a rest.

Given the first hour it's obviously a good point and it's a game where we'd have got nothing up until fairly recently (so credit to Bruce for that and the subs) but spells like that first half are still happening more than I'm comfortable with.  It isn't that we went behind, it's that they didn't play particularly well either but still went in at half time having had on of the easiest halves of football they'll get all season.  2nd half we were decent but still far from our best and it was enough for us to totally outclass them, just doing that for 90 minutes would've been enough for a 2-3 goal win tonight.

Who would you have played up front today instead?

Unfortunately, despite much money spent, I don't think we have anyone to fill in for Kodjia other than a 19 year old who isn't expected to score but 'holds the ball up well' (not that I've seen a lot of that myself).

My point was more this. Contrary to some people, who seem to think we'll be fine with Davis, I think we need to get a goalscorer in as soon as the Jan window opens.

With Kodjia out till the late spring, Hogan out of his depth at a big club, and Davis not being a goalscorer, we are not going to get automatic promotion without it.

Oh I agree. I think we need someone else in addition to Davis/Hogan. But I think today Bruce went with what has worked recently. I dont think he has that many options at the moment really.

Shocking first half performance. Before the game I'd have taken a draw, at half time I'd have bitten your hand off for a 2-0 defeat. Well done lads for fighting back second half. Thank the Lord we have a few fighters in our team. I wasn't concerned for the last 10 minutes.

If Lansbury can offer that sort of performance he'll be a real asset.

Behave. They are a team team that will there or there abouts come may.  Please remember we are not man city. An away draw against a top 7 team is a decent result

suit yourself. I'm looking at the opposition above us and we're going to have to raise our game to catch them.

I agree.

Derby and Sheffield UTD beat them at Elland Road. Cardiff and Wolves brushed them aside at home, which I wouldn't bet on us doing.

I predicated a draw and won my bet. These are the games we need to win if we are going to get automatic promotion, but these are the games we're unlikely to win, especially with our lack of a potent strike force. Relying on Davis will not get us top 2.

Who would you have played up front today instead?

I'm confident that if you can work it out then someone at the club might recognise we're a bit light up top.

Who knows? Perhaps they think that Davis has 'got the lot' and we don't need anybody? Especially after Sky's piece on him today.

If they do agree with me though, let's hope they don't provide us with another McCormack.

I thought Taylor was excellent. showed great desire to get to the ball that made the equalizer.
I'm very pleased with the point especially with the injury list.
Agree.My motm

Really? He scared the shit out of me tonight. Apart from the double tackle, I could only see him messing up. Seems very one footed, for me the weakest player tonight though he had his plate full dealing with their winger. I'd have taken him off, moved Hutton over to the left and brought on De Laef.

Good result and good to see we're showing character after going 1-0 down away from home these days.

Proper old school game under the lights between two big clubs. Good noise in the away end, especially second half. Leeds the best home atmosphere I've seen two seasons running, noisy and passionate, it puts our home support to shame.

Despite the good result Cardiff won and we find ourselves 7 points off 2nd place. We need to find a win sooner or later in one of these tough away games.

Two points further behind top 2.

Never mind. Ignoring the first three games of the season, the losses against Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday, and the times we've drawn, we right up there with the best of them.

Or something like that. 😉

I’d like to see how wolves Brazil would cope without three of their best players for a lengthy period of time.  Fcukin negativity does my head in.

The shit football does it for me. That and the acceptance of us being shit. Saying that, tonight was the first time in a long time I've really screamed out so loud when we've scored.

We are not going to win every game - so where we don't, we need to a) pick up a point, b) not be playing at home, and c) preferably to the bigger, better sides in the division. On that count, good result tonight, keeps us nicely positioned, and the bonus of an extra days rest before a home game we need to & should win.

Hutton the stand out for me. Roofe will be having nightmares about being threatened by a tattooed Scottish psychopath for some time.

That made me laugh out loud and it's hard to disagree with you. Hutton's a bloody hero. The type of player that drags us forward when we most need it.

Crap first 20 minutes and we would have lost that last year. The Scottish Cafu is a hero. We are going up.

Cafu just loves playing for us, loves the fans and never ever hides from the ball.  I just do not get why people dislike him.
