Only at the end of the season will we see the true value of tonight's result but here and now, after being so poor first half, it looks a decent point. Great to get a fully fit and firing Lansbury and Grealish back, could make a difference. Good to show some resilience.

Behave. They are a team team that will there or there abouts come may.  Please remember we are not man city. An away draw against a top 7 team is a decent result

suit yourself. I'm looking at the opposition above us and we're going to have to raise our game to catch them.

I agree.

Derby and Sheffield UTD beat them at Elland Road. Cardiff and Wolves brushed them aside at home, which I wouldn't bet on us doing.

I predicated a draw and won my bet. These are the games we need to win if we are going to get automatic promotion, but these are the games we're unlikely to win, especially with our lack of a potent strike force. Relying on Davis will not get us top 2.

Who would you have played up front today instead?

Samba simply not good enough cancelled out by great performances from Chester and Taylor

Glass is half full for me. Leeds were up for it in the 1st half, and chased and harried every ball, and made us sit deep, despite that they had very few shots on goal, in fact I can't remember Johnstone making any saves.
2nd half Bruce gave the midfield 2 the first 10 minutes to see if his half time talk had made an impact, it hadn't he made the subs and we got back in the game.
Played higher and with more tempo second half, overall happy with a point.
On to the next game.

My thinking is Wolves are the best side in the league by a mile while Warnock.....well would you bet against a man with 7 promotions?

I really can’t see many teams beating us now this season, and I think we will get better. Just a shame we didn’t get a good start. Sure Wolves are looking good but I suspect they will not be relishing coming to VP. Fair play Bruce the foundation has finally been set

Tbf I am enjoying the fact that we are competing expecting to win and not having heads in hands. We have had 5 years of utter shite and now we have a team that do physically bust a gut and appear to care.

It doesn't need to be suddenly. 7 points over 26 games

It's a good job Bruce put Davis in when he did, at least he's got a few games under his belt now we have no other options. Maybe in January we'll be able to bring another option in but for now I'm not going to complain if we stay in touch near the top while all our experienced strikers are out.

After a really poor first half, we cannot complain about the effort and application in the second half.
Other than that top quality cross that missed 3 of their players, they created bugger all, whereas we had a couple of decent efforts, especially Bert’s chance.
A point there is a decent point considering we are playing with a rookie up front
.
Bruce really needs to play a blinder in January and bring in a striker who can hit the ground running. He already knows a striker is critical so I hope we see one early in January, not on bloody deadline day.

way i see it is we need to beat millwall and sheffield u at home, and win one of brentford, middlesborough and derby away to keep up with cardiff and wolves say winning at home and drawing or losing away.. If they keep winning 4 or 5 games out of 5 as they have recently then its a tall task to gain ground on them or even keep up with them

Unfortunately, despite much money spent, I don't think we have anyone to fill in for Kodjia other than a 19 year old who isn't expected to score but 'holds the ball up well' (not that I've seen a lot of that myself).

My point was more this. Contrary to some people, who seem to think we'll be fine with Davis, I think we need to get a goalscorer in as soon as the Jan window opens.

With Kodjia out till the late spring, Hogan out of his depth at a big club, and Davis not being a goalscorer, we are not going to get automatic promotion without it.

I'm confident that if you can work it out then someone at the club might recognise we're a bit light up top.

Chester was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch tonight. He gave an absolute masterclass in defending. He read everything and was always in the right position, his form is so crucial with Terry being out.

Great to see Jack back as well. He looked very comfortable on the ball which is not something we can say about many of our players.
