We should have played 'keep right on' and 'Mr Blue Sky' at the final whistle on Sunday. I am a huge fan of sarcasm and irony.

What has a Northern boy band go to do with Aston Villa, who represents the working class people of North Birmingham in the footballl stakes. I take pride in the fact that we have supporters from south of the City which is traditionally blues. Also pleased we have non brummie from other parts of the midlands,  fans hardly in difference in  non Brummie  Midlands.

Oasis have nothing to do with Aston Villa or North Birmingham working class identity, we look like mugs singing and playing that song, its like we dont have an identity and we are like sheep and have to latch on to something. We are being organised and engineered.

Aston, Witton, Perry Barr, Great Barr, Erdington, Falcon Lodge, Brookvale, Perry Common, Wyrely Birch, Bromford, Kingstanding, Pheasy etc thats whats about.

There's nothing wrong with being proud of the north B'ham fan base, but that isn't what it's about.  It is about far, far more than that.

Not many clubs have 'local' anthems, just songs that took hold on their terraces for whatever reason at some point back in time.

DLBIA is just that, it reflected a mood and a moment in time and is still relevant to a lot of fans now.  I like the fact that we have a song to get behind, because let's face it the bells are ringing etc have all faded away (Fade Away - now that could be a song for the Blue's?).

It's irrelevant that it's Oasis or that they are City fans.  It's just a song that works right now.  Did you watch the video posted?  It seems quite a few other fans think so too.

The club can't do right from wrong.

They tried the fans orientated "Bells are Ringing" a few years back and it was a complete failure.

Now they've tried the DLBIA which was picked up in impromptu fashion by the fans away at Reading (who all joined in with the chorus)  Yet people are still moaning.

I'm an Oasis fan so I'm slightly blinkered on this but I really don't care whether Oasis are from Birmingham or not. Loads of football chants stem from pop songs - nobody seems to care where those songs originate from. Everybody has their own opinion on what the song at the end of games should be - It is something that will always upset someone. I didn't see too many people not enjoying it on Sunday. I'm more than happy for it to stay and haven't seen one suggestion that is an improvement.

I don’t get hating Oasis just because they are linked with Man City. I get it if you don’t like them as a band or don’t like their songs. That’s personal taste. But disliking them backseat the lead singer is from a certain area or supports a certain club is like saying you hate the Beatles because they’re from Liverpool or the Stones because Jagger supports Arsenal. Who cares?

This song specifically has become something of a rallying cry for the fans and I’m just happy that after man years of seeing utter shit down Villa Park people are bonding again and have lots to smile and sing about.

The fans have had over 45 years to take up a Black Sabath song as an anthem.  Funnily enough it hasn’t happened.  I think we need to let that one go.

Stoke sing a Tom Jones song, what has Tom Jones got to do with Stoke? It will fade away, when the fans stop signing it. Simple
