I don't think Billie Holiday was much of a Man City fan myself, doesn't stop Blue Moon being anthem for them.

I think the song is decent anyway and it sounds good when we belt it out. I've never heard an Oasis track and thought that's Man City that.

Keep on running - Spencer Davis Group
No relevance to our club but a great song to sing to (when pissed) and a local band
Or after yesterday's result

Thread is being used by music snobs to bash the best British band over the last 45 years I feel. We can't sing bloody Radiohead or  Arcade Fire  ::)

Yes, The Man City connection does bug me as they are synonymous with each other but as others as stated at least DLBIA was created organically from the terraces.

Don't like it, try to initiate a new one!

Although they are a vile club with a 99.9% awful atmosphere One Step Beyond at Chelsea always fits well.

You've over-reached by a factor of around 45 years there pal.

I'm not that fussed about the song normally, and in the cold light of day I overwhelmingly feel it's got no emotional connection to the Villa. But when the whistle goes and you win by the odd goal and all that tension and excitement gets released, a song everyone knows the words to and is absolutely designed to have tens of thousands caterwauling along to it is very welcome.

I'm a freak. I'm a weirdo. What the hell have I become. I don't belong here.

We shouldn't sing Radiohead. Anyway, they're Oxford Utd through and through.

Arcade Fire are quite Canadian ... I've already forgotten anything I knew about Arcade Fire.

I find the DLBIA thing a bit cringey as they are a band associated with another club.

However, one thing that never, ever works is trying to impose something artificially.

So for that reason, I strictly ration the number of fucks I am really prepared to give on the subject.

I suppose we should at least be grateful it's not Angels by Robbie Fucking Williams.

You probably want an ELO track maybe?

To be fair the only one I like and it is dead corny is Hi Ho Silver....

Loved singing it at Wembley in April 2015 - the last great day to be a Villa fan. For now.

That is a contender for my least favourite song, ever. Port Vale can have him, and it.

Although I didn't mind Oasis back in the day but I was never a fan of this song.  Regards us, I think it served its purpose last year as the club needed to come together after the shit show of the Lerner years.  But that time has gone now so I'd rather we all moved on.

That said I dont have an alternative, these things a best left to happen organically.
