Really could do with a win
Quite a few choices to make for first time in a while:
Taylor back?
Jedinak to start?
Who alongside him?
Snodgrass rested?
Hogan or Onomah?
O'Hare or Grealish on the bench?
I think we need a combo of physical strength and going for the jugular. The easy thing to say is that means 442. But that's not always the case.
I'd definitely have at least one of O'Hare and grealish on the bench, replacing Thor and Kodjia in the squad
Who is not fit.

O'Hare deserves a place on the bench.

I agree totally he deserves a place on the bench and some game time after his performances this season for the U23's promising player we have on our hands.

Ohare should be ahead of Hogan, he is a better footballer.
We have to win if e are still thinking of top 2.

We have to win if we are serious about playoffs never mind top 2.

A formula of home win followed by away draw will be good enough for top 6 I'd imagine. We're on course to average 75 points I think which is usually enough.

Need to step it up for top 2 though.

1-0 to us or to them. I'm undecided. It won't be pretty, but I'd imagine all the football will be played by them, sadly.

2 questions

1/ Any team news (Kodja / Grealish etc)?

2/ Any suggestions for pre match drink near ground?

Station Hotel opposite the train station is a decent boozer from my experience waiting for trains in the past.

Last season when I went up there I just stayed in the pubs they have up Friargate near the UCE. Adelphi, Roper Hall, Old Black bull etc. Bit of a walk to Deepdale from there though.

I liked how we looked when Jedinak came on against the filth, I'd go:

0-2 or 1-3.

Odonah on the right wing! Are you Steve Bruce? Tactics Dim strikes again.

Whelan out of that line up, Onomah in his place and Snodgrass on the right (even though I think he has been quite poor recently).  Bench would be:

Steer, Hutton, Samba, Whelan, Lansbury, O'Hare, Hogan

Just got my tickets, will be in the Preston family stand with my 4 year old. Last season he really enjoyed the match (his first game) even if I didn't! Hopefully this time my little boy comes away wanting to support Villa.

PNE are a solid team, but have injuries. We should be comfortably beating them if we have automatic promotion ambitions.

Sounds like Preston will be putting out a real makeshift defence tonight. Hopefully we can cash in.
