I've just walked past Steve Cotterill in Knowle. He was talking on the phone and looked worried. Very worried.

I enjoyed the response from CheswickBlue to Magna's pathetic excuse for not going.

Magna 1,000,000 : This year i would rather role in from Haloween night out

CheswickBlue :  If you’re over the age of 9 why are you even making a night out of Halloween?

To be fair to Magna he has several excuses it seems.

"Preferring haloween night out to blues was pretty tongue in cheek, im out the night before cause its a saturday and im celebrating my mate selling his house (drinks on him he said). I cant reappy afford to go the blues game this month is my issue. Payday is Monday and with Mortgage, car payment, car insurance, expenditure that ryanair still owe me for to come in to my account ive used up this month salary and not dipping unto savings foe something on tv"

Small time club, small time fans, can not even sell all their tickets for their biggest game of the year, smash them Villa, one nil will do, but 5 would be so much sweeter and think of all the sisters taking an arse bashing Sunday tea time. SOTC.

They're moaning about the booking history issue, but if any dragged their arses down other than when they play us it wouldn't be a problem.

I was working in their ticket office (which is a joke by the way, they're fucking hopeless in there) before we played them last year, and one of the girls was repeatedly trying to explain to someone's mom that she could book the ticket as she had history, but her son wouldn't be allowed to use it because her name was on it. It wasn't going well.

You've got to laugh. You'd think they'd learn to pick their battles, taking a pop at our away support is like the caretaker of the original Crystal Palace throwing rocks at passers by.

I'd put Gabby on the bench regardless of fitness just to intimidate them.

Just make sure he spends the whole second half warming up.

What planet are they on?  Have they seen our away followings over the past couple of seasons?  Do they honestly believe we would struggle to sell 2,000 tickets for a game just across the city?

Yes however don't forget some of our lot sing "shot support mi'lord" towards away fans with nearly half empty Villa Park staring down at us. So we all have them.

Not going to the game, and I won’t go again until my youngest is 18. After the Kevin Phillips winner game my wife picked me up and we dodged their finest throwing bricks at any car that had Villa Fans in showing colours with my then toddlers in the car. I promised then that while we had little uns I wouldn’t go there again, and at the time didn’t think we’d be playing them much anyway. So this will be the first game home and away that I’ve missed since we played em away last time pretty much. After Wolves away the other week I know it’s some of us as well so I don’t regret not going.

On the pitch, in the same way that Scotland occasionally fluke a win against England at rugby they are due a win, but I thought that every time Man U came to Villa Park. Treat it like we did Burton and Barnsley, who are better teams than them and certainly not as we treated Wolves, then they are due another thrashing from us so I predict a comfortable 3-0 win. Minimum.
