Dont mind the tatters at all and had I got a ticket and the circumstances been different I'd be spending the day in one of my favourite pubs near the ground having a few beers with mates who follow them. Also got split family loyalty so I really hope that my premonition of a heavy defeat doesn't comes to fruition.

They dont half talk all funny mind.

"When Villa won the league in 1981 and followed it up with the European title they took the mantle of the west midlands biggest club, no argument possible, but for 60 years before that Wolves were the top club in the region by a mile , 3 league titles, 2 fa cups, 2 league cups and a European final to Villa's I fa cup and 2 league cups (I don't count their 1961 as we didn't enter). Most of Villas history was between 1890 and 1920 fact !"

If you don't count the trophies before Wolves one a thing or two, they were a bigger club...

Like many people, you equate size to trophies won. To me that makes them more successful, not bigger.By your rule Nottingham Forest, Derby Co. we’re bigger than Man Utd in the seventies, they weren’t. To me there is only one measure , and that’s how many fans do you have. Big clubs can win trophies and small clubs can win trophies. It makes no difference to their size, only their stature.

It's not just fans either, only Man Utd and Arsenal have ever had a higher average attendance than West Ham had last season, 11K higher than our best ever. Doesn't mean they're one of the biggest club in the country. Or bigger than us.

Holy moly they're out in force on their website.

Bigger club than the Vile bay we
More fans bay we
Birmingham is mainly Blues bay it

They're on another planet.

You’re talking about Wolverhampton, where the opening of a new Debenhams is the spectacle of a lifetime.

And where the residents visit the Black Country Museum to get a glimpse of what their life will be like in the future....

That is a quality comment. <Applause>

It's not even close. Since we won the European Cup they've spent 5 seasons in the top flight. Highest finish since then is 15th. 0 proper cup finals. A decent sized club no arguments, but no one with an IQ higher than a dead wombat's would even have them in the same conversation as us.

My opinion of Wolverhampton

Sod all to do today so thought I'd have a ride on the tram. Up to West Brom for a wander round then to Wolverhampton for a wander and then back. Tram is ace. Only an extra quid to use it on top of a normal bus daysaver. Wolverhampton is shit. It's like a crap Burnley.

If your going on the Tram it doesn't go all the way to Wolverhampton currently, you need to get off @ The Crescent and then you have to wait for a bus....Can be a pain

Was there last year and agree that it was dismal day.  Got started by eating at Morrison's opposite pre game and having fish and chips which had more bone than fish.  Pivotal tomorrow, if we get a result I can see a great few months

No, that makes Forest and Derby better than Man United in the seventies, of which there is little doubt. Just as Bournemouth are better than us now.

Doesn't make them bigger. Your size is based on the entirety of your club's history. We were still massive even in our darkest days, because of all the trophies we had already won, just as we are massive now and will be even if we don't play in the top flight for a decade.

I was planning on going to Bilston. Is the Crescent further from the ground or closer?
