Chatting with my Mrs in Uganda. She's slowly converting to the fold despite being a default glory hunter (manure) and now referring to the 'family team' which is good.
I was letting her know we are close to firing another manager. Asks why, and comments didn't you say they've been pretty rubbish all her life (not quite true, but I do often mention to people the Halcyon Days of my early 80s childhood and how it's been pretty downhill since then).

Of interest she was saying the Uganda Cranes were most successful under Idi Amin when apparently they had to win to avoid getting caned.
Desperate times?!

There's a team in Uganda named after us in 1982. You too can play guess-which-club-went-on-to-win-everything?

Premier League winners: 1982, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004
Cup winners: 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2009,2015

Clicky

Great name for a training ground!

Aye I know SC Villa, it took me a couple of trips to get to see them in the flesh, but saw them win in 2012.
I have a massive & not very attractive plane SC Villa shirt that needs to find a home.
I actually also went out of my way to find and visit their 'Villa Park' training ground which isn't much more than a bit of wasteland near a railway track if my memory serves me right. I was supposed to meet an old star player/Cranes defender to hand over a AVFC pennant I'd taken over but I think I had to just leave it with someone in the end.
I'll try and dig out the pictures as I did see a thread about SC Villa had come and gone a while back and never got round to sharing them.

So I've been at work and amazed it's still 0-0. I've never wanted Villa to lose, but can see the logic to maybe make a fresh start, though I hope they have a plan :/

Passing without purpose or much energy.
Bjarnasson must be related to that guy from Catch Me If You Can because I refuse to believe that he's a real footballer.
A bit like Emile?

It's interesting to hear how positive and supportive of Boro the Radio Tees commentators are compared to our utterly morose, negative, defeated perspective. Imagine if we'd gone down to ten men after three minutes? Half of Birmingham would've been like Jonestown by 8 o'clock.

They all look like they met for the first time in the car park before the game.

Kodija on after half time???

You just know Kodjia will come on at some point score the only goal and bail this fucker out for another week.

Looks like Hogan & Albert are coming on

Why not Kodjia

Because he's not fit. Spud will throw him on in desperation late on.

He played 45 minutes last night and if not ready for tonight, why has Bruce put him on the bench?

You're right, it's a Bruce panic move.
