This is a big exhibition of incompetence from our players and manager. Not pleasant after getting soaked walking to the ground.

How can we spend as much as we did for Hogan and keep him on the bench every week?

Because we have no idea what to do with him as using a dwarf as a long ball magnet doesn't really work.

Top work Bruce.

Sounds unsurprisingly tedious. Fucking do something Villa.

If they go down to 9 men we might win this.

THis will be tough. Boro have kept 5 clean sheets in 6. Tough to play against

Not with 10 men for 86 minutes per match they haven't. 😜

Are we really as shite as the misery I'm reading on here? What about this:

BBC Live

Aston Villa 0-0 Middlesbrough
Aston Villa, looking for a first home win in September since 2013, are on top against 10-man Middlesbrough.

Conor Hourihane and Robert Snodgrass have both gone close for Steve Bruce's men who desperately need a victory to get their season going.

Aston Villa 0-0 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph makes a fine save to deny Henri Lansbury.

Has Bruce realised that they are down a man and their biggest threat is no longer on the pitch?

The Radio Tees commentary is leaning towards Villa doing plenty of pressing, but the final ball is our usual poor quality.

Bruce would get away with not beating a 11 man Boro , he wont get away not beating a 10 man Boro , hes under pressure now.

Can someone check that 'Boro didn't sneak on another player (or two), whilst we were watching Traore walking off!

That sounds about right. The Randolph save was decent, but we'd have been fuming if Johnstone had let it in.
