Seven beards in the starting XI, that must be a record?

We need moustaches, not beards.

This is the team celebrating the last win on the big screen.

Chatting with my Mrs in Uganda. She's slowly converting to the fold despite being a default glory hunter (manure) and now referring to the 'family team' which is good.
I was letting her know we are close to firing another manager. Asks why, and comments didn't you say they've been pretty rubbish all her life (not quite true, but I do often mention to people the Halcyon Days of my early 80s childhood and how it's been pretty downhill since then).

Of interest she was saying the Uganda Cranes were most successful under Idi Amin when apparently they had to win to avoid getting caned.
Desperate times?!

I'm no big fan of Bruce, but the one up front argument is misguided. It can be ultra attacking if set up right.

The set up right part is where it generally falls down

Oh I agree, but what I'm saying is one up front is not inherently negative, which seems to be the impression of some.

One up front at home - again .

Doesn't learn does he ?

Nice bloke - shite manager . Sick of this bollocks , when will it stop ?

This

We have zero pace in that side

In all fairness, we have zero pace in the entire squad. Why this wasnt an area of concern for Bruce in the summer is a mystery.

Yeah, when its done right and the midfielders get close to the striker it can be very effective

4 right sided players in the 15 and no true lefties. No structure, no pattern, no consistency, no strategy, no tactics, no idea. Bruce out.

The big screen videos of us beating these teams are embarrassingly old

Its not easy to find recent footage

Is it in black and white?

I think it was filmed by one of those blokes with a camera on a tripod who put a curtain over his head

A bit like bruce when he makes his team selection

Hourihane and Snodgrass feeding off Davis looks the obvious tactic. Elmo on the wing to head the ball forward from goal kicks looks the other.

Kodja and Albert both make an appearance on 65 minutes is another.

There's a team in Uganda named after us in 1982. You too can play guess-which-club-went-on-to-win-everything?

Premier League winners: 1982, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004
Cup winners: 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2009,2015

We set up from scratch as if we are already a goal ahead and looking to defend it on the break. Lansbury and Hourihane does look an attacking partnership provided they dont sit too deep and Davis can hold the ball up.

The hope is that Jedinak's return lets Hourihane and Lansbury play twenty yards further forward where they can do damage.

SligoTom has passed on his Celtic v PSG ticket in favour of watching Villa v Boro.

I'm worried for his sanity

Adama and Downing both start for them.

It's bound to happen, isn't it?

Yup, Custer's last stand comes to mind.
