Spot on for me, particularly the last 2 paragraphs, he's now seen what this team can do if they keep attacking and put defenders under pressure, if he backs away from that again then he deserves all the stick he gets.

That's Ron Saunders' dry. Hilarious to those that get it.

Still sniggering away. Like the Villa performance on Saturday, Dave, one of your best.

Nicely done Dave.  Especially like the slipped in bon mot about the owner coming under pressure.  Nothing escapes your eagle eye.

"Keep the same approach, continue with the mentality that livened up Saturday afternoon".  Exactly Dave.  I think the biggest challenge Bruce might face is the wrestle with his natural conservatism.

Good times for a change.

Thought ruminations on our last midfield hat-trick hero might get a mention. Was it Platt and if so where's DeanosMullet with the footage?

Just a point, Davis's header wasn't in the first minute, it was his one-on-one which got saved in the first minute.  The header came later on.

Good article, Dave. By Friday evening we'll know whether your (cautious) optimism is justified.
